Ranger and family who look after area and live beside newly built Bano waved us over and offered free camping inside a spare room and outside their small cabin. We had found no decent wind shelter amongst the rocks on that particular day so it was very welcome. Signs of old campsites amongst rocks are spoiling the place so camping by the cabin, although not as scenic, is perhaps in the best interests of conservation here. Bano 5bs per time and awkward to find the person to unlock it unfortunately. Ranger very friendly and informative. Reportedly he has cyclists staying here at least a few times a week. Water (10Bs! for 500ml) and a few simple snacks available to purchase, no obvious water otherwise and Bano building had no running water to filter.
Report Check-InWe put the van right in front of there house to be hidden from the wind which was perfect. Toilets are 5 bol. No water in the morning as it frozes at night.
The couple that lives here is very nice. They invited us to spend some time inside as it was freezing out. They have 2 nice dogs, they bark sometimes but nothing annoying.
The lady makes gloves, socks and hats if you want.
cyclists: the family taking care of the toilets invited us to pitch the tent in front of the house with perfect windprotection. but it's also possible to camp anywhere between the rocks, which we prefered.
there is a new building with very clean toilets and they sell some cookies and drinks/water.
Good spot to camp with the bikes. We were 2 tents and camped behind the old rock house. Perfectly sheltered.
Report Check-InGood overnight stop. Some places protected from the wind. There are kind of pit toilets, but you wouldn't step in....water was not available!!
Report Check-InWe slept in the house on the left because the padlock was cut off. There is also a water tank.
Report Check-InÀ côté de l’Arbol de piedra à l’abri du vent. Les sanitaires sont très sales on peu dire inutilisables. Très froid la nuit.
