Entered at 5:15am. No charge, thought we'd be charged on the way out as we left at 3pm and there's a ranger at that time but he just let us through with a smile! Bargain! 30 sol pp is a rip off also another ranger told us at the cerveceria the previous night that less than half the money actually goes to the park, so you are just funding gvt corruption with this extortionate fee.

I think that the rangers go out arround 4 pm and restart arround 6 am, so the gate is open ...

We got to the gate at 6:45am and there was alreadt a guy working. So had to pay 30 soles each.

It's a beautiful hike up to laguna 69, well maintained path and we didn't see any trash along the way like you unfortunately do everywhere else in Peru. We think it's well worth it and fair to pay 30 soles entrance to support a poor country like Peru to protect their national park. How can people in this forum honestly call Peruvians racists because local people get to enter their own country for free while rich foreigners are asked to pay a contribution???

Entry for one day for stranger is 30 sol. In park are three viewpoints and two campsides. You can go there with your van, yo do not need 4WD, but when is rainy 4WD is better because of mudd.
Lakes are nice, but with entry 30 sol is much.

Now the entrance is 30 soles, since 1st of January 2018 ! what a rip-off... And for camping inside the park it's 60 more... They have toilets here at the entrance and after paying your ticket they claim also money for using the toilets!! unbelievable....

We arrived at 4:30 and the gate was manned by a ranger. Probably 15 taxis waiting at the gate when we arrived. Dont expect free entrance to the park. We didn't feel comfortable parking here overnight so chose the switchback spot 100m down the road also on iOverlander.

Parking à l'entrée du parc, gratuit. Wc tranquille et sur.

Report Check-In

Local people pay nothing! Just seen the van which drove through the gate without paying. Only white tourists pay. Rasists!!

Report Check-In

We arrived in the late afternoon and were allowed to camp near the visitor center for free. Restrooms and a sink for dishwashing available.

Report Check-In

It's OK. Cholas offer some tropical foods and drinks.
