As at 29th Nov 2017 the road is still closed Mon-Fri, bikes may get through on the ferry faster ( although we still needed to wait almost an hour) but drivers behind us were being warned of delays of several hours due to large lorries needing to go on the small ferry one at a time - plan ahead, especially if you're short on time!

Bridge is ok now. They've installed a provisory bridge max 30 tons, and 3m wide.

2trucks collided in winter and the full bridge collapsed. Repairs are being made but road is closed. You need to take a ferry to puyuhuapi, leaves every hour. Repairs will take atleast 3 months from now (oktober). Add 1.5 hours to your travel time.
