Nice Lodge and Campsite with beautiful Views of the Rift Valley. Camping on green Grass, they opened a Room for us (good Ablutions, warm Shower). No Wifi, no Electricity at Sites. Friendly Owner. Good 4G Mobile Internet via Safaricom. Wanted 700 KSh but we negotiated 600 KSh (4,90 Euro) pppn.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Its now 800pp, and not possible to negotiate. As we were 4, we asked if we could only pay 3000 a night instead of 3200 (we didnt have change). The lady refused and said she will find us change. 16 hours later the next morning, it was time to leave and she had given us only 250 instead of 800. We had to chase her down again, and she gave us 350 this time saying that "there is 200 missing but its fine isnt it ?". Like if 200 was nothing for us muzungus. We had to get a bit agressive with her (its not about money, its about principles) and she quickly found some extra 160 shillings... We lost 40 in the story (0.30$, its nothing but we left with a sour taste in the mouth).
Also our 2 cars got rocks throwen at them by kids on the way to the campsite. (Very slow shity track by the way, very rocky, steep and bumpy for 1km) We complained at the lady when we arrived and she... loughed at us. Nice.
Seeing the way they treat tourists like us, we will for sure never be back there. Otherwise it's a peaceful place to spend the night.
Report Check-InAmazing view with big grass field, clean toilets and they open a cottage if you want to shower. 700 Ksh pp.
There is also a bar with cold drinks.
Nice campsite with some flat sites for cars with RTT. Nice view over valley. Restaurant not tried (they only had chicken when we were here). Friendly people that leave you to yourself. Quiet at night. Opened a room for (hot) shower and toilet. 700 KES pppn. Good for one night.
Report Check-InPerfect place for a stopover or few more nights to explore the surroundings. Everything correct as stated below. We thought it could be a bit noisy with cars coming in late or leaving early, music and people talking. But nothing really disturbing. Very nice staff. Hot donkey shower but rundown ablutions. It would help if they would been cleaned more often. They can also open a room for you to shower if needed. Further nothing to complain. Definitely recommended
Report Check-InLovely, scenic drive on the C51 to this very pleasant campsite. We received a warm welcome, grassy site with amazing views, basic ablution block but great shower with very hot water and western flushing toilet. The site had a large overlanding tour staying and another overlanding couple and it felt lovely and buzzy, not too crowded or noisy at all. Very peaceful overnight. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked nice. This was a stopover for us but could happily have stayed longer to do a walk down into the valley. 700ksh pppn
Report Check-InCamping sites with plenty of gras and stunning views over Kerio valley. They opened a bathroom for us in a bungalow with hot shower. The restaurant is ok. Camping 700 Khs, breakfast is slow for 200 Khs
Report Check-InNice place. Helpful and friendly people. Gave us cottage dor hot shower. Camping Kah 700 pppn. Recommended place!
Report Check-InSlightly disappointed with this place. It is tired and has half finished work everywhere. Plenty of litter on the ground and broken dirty toilets. It feels a bit sorry and neglected. Though the staff were pleasant and helpful, they initially seemed reluctant to let me stay. Maybe call in advance if you plan to visit. All that said the views are great.

Report Check-InBasic but beautiful, grassy campsite with stunning views over the Kerio Valley. Very nice and helpful staff, opended a room for the ablutions so we had a hot shower. We can totally recommended this place.
Report Check-InLocal run campsite with beautiful view over valley. Owner, Frances is a mango farmer. Camped in our rooftop. Could access power with long cable. No WiFi. Enthusiastic employees. Access to room for hot shower. Food okay. In January this area is the place for paragliding in Africa. Kenyan marathoners train in nearby Iten. Paid KSH600pp/pn. Nice self-guided hike along escarpment.
Report Check-InBeautiful location with wide views over valley. Well run. We were here at Heroes Day and the officials of the region celebrated their feast there. 700 KES pppn
