We stayed three nights in one of the waggons: clean, with private bathroom, Microwave and some cutlery, Aircon and heater, tiny shower and toilet but okay. Receptionist is very nice and helpful. Good breakfast with fresh fruits, juice, cereals, bread. Can’t tell anything about the hostel rooms but the waggon was totally okay and we had very quiet nights although it’s located in the city center (at the train station). Safe parking in front of the train station (fenced courtyard). We payed 400 BOL per night.

I booked last minute thinking that I'll stay in a wagon for the mentioned price on booking.com. when I arrived they showed me a room that wasn't a wagon but a 0.8m x 2m tiny room. I didn't want to pay such a price for the tinest room and I requested an upgrade at a reduced price. The receptionist agreed to it. Then we signed the papers (see pictures attached saying that the payment was for 2 nights in the wagon) but early morning next day they said I had to move back to tiny room or get out. I do not agree to this behaviour where the owners agree to charge for upgrade then kicking out a client. This tells a lot about the management of how they treat their clients. THEY WANT YOUR MONEY, ONCE PAID THEY GO BACK ON THEIR WORD. Never seen such poor administration in my 13 years of travel through 65 countries. It has ruined my experience in Uyuni.

I also own couple of hotels and I do understand the complications they are facing when listing their property in booking.com .I offered my help to set things clearly so that other travelers won't be facing this issue. But they clearly didn't want any help to be able to clarify their booking. When I started with booking.com I too faced issues of people misunderstanding, but I took advice and rectified.

These guys if they don't even take advantage of someone with knowledge about how to clarify their listing but forced to pay more.

Since I feel bad about the owners just to be sure I asked the receptionist to come and have a loot at the room for damages or any possible suprise charges I might have. I took a video of the recipient stating that everything is ok.

Nice hotel. I love the idea to re-use a space in this train-station. To match with the theme, the room are small like in a real train. But it's big enough to sleep inside.
The parking is public but it's safe to let my bike sleep outside.
Nice breakfest
And the owner is really kind.

The place is in a great location, very central. The wagons are a great idea a well equipped. The small rooms in the train station are really small. Chris is a great host. He helped us get all information we needed about the ruta de las lagunas.

Didnt stay but checked it out and wanted to update with some prices. They quoted in USD. A two person pod (er, bunk beds) room with shared bathrooms was $28. A queen bed room with private bath was $60 but because the sink didn't work (at this time) he reduced to $40. Was told the wifi was only good enough for email, WhatsApp, etc. Very clean and modern looking.

Tried to find a room for three people, but they only had simples and doubles.
Also, dogs are not allowed (although the owner who put the first review put pet friendly on ‘yes’)

We stayed five nights in the Onkel Inn Hotel in Uyuni, four nights in a Deluxe Room and one night in a Suite Wagon, and we really enjoyed our time there. Not least because of Chris, the manager of the hotel. He is always very polite and can tell you a lot about Bolivian culture and history, if interested. Moreover, everything was very clean and there was a great selection for the breakfast, including some fresh fruits. Guests could also use the kitchen at any time of the day in order to make some free tee or coffee. We could not wish for more. =]
