On the road Chita - El Cocuy, pullout flat spot on a ridge with fantastic view to both sides. Very quiet at night.
View of 4 glaciers in the distance (with clear sky) and also incredible night sky.
This is at about 4100m altitude.
The road from Chita to here is rock/gravel which we could do with our 6m Ducato van with sufficient clearance.

Superb place, it is possible to park behind the road in the grass surrounded by the frailejones. It is very quiet, there is very little passage on this track. The landscape is absolutely wonderful! If you climb to the top of the small hill you will have a breathtaking 360 view! This spot is in our top 5 bivouacs in Colombia!
Report Check-InWas headed for the park, closed to foreigners for COVID, decided to take this road. Not disappointed at all!!
Report Check-InVery quiet and peaceful place. I camped there in a tent. Weather was great for that altitude but bring a warm sleeping bag. Scenery is fantastic, view over the mountains and glaciers.
Report Check-InFlat and quiet spot, with an amazing view (like all the bad but wonderful road between Cocuy and Sogamoso passing by Jérico , definitely worth it !)
Report Check-InReally nice overnight stop. As described - views from all sides. No one around, super quiet.
