THE MOST BEAUTIFUL beachfront camping we’ve ever seen. After repeated trips through Mexico this place does not disappoint. At the edge of a massive lagoon it is protected from waves and wind. The fishing from the breakwaters is excellent and there’s guides in town which is only a 25 min walk. The weekends get busy with families here but they’re all very friendly. Facilities are lacking but it’s cheap at 120 pesos. There’s a building with bathrooms,water and cold showers.

This former RV Park seems to be closed. The gate was locked, as amenities are shut and run down. Somebody came and opened the gate, so we stayed for 120 Peso/night because this is a really nice place under coconut palms with a beach mostly for yourself.

À notre arrivée, la barrière est fermé, mais rapidement Antonio (très sympa) vient nous ouvrir, la plage est magnifique. Nous sommes seul dans un paradis... Seul bémol, le lendemain matin nous sommes envahis de mini-brulos (qui passent à travers le moustiquaire) et qui nous dérangent beaucoup, nous raccourcirons donc notre séjour. L'endroit est magnifique. Aucun service 120 pesos la nuit 8,50$ can.

I loved this place. Antonio and Veronica are very nice and made me feel welcome and secure. I had my own little beautiful beach and enjoyed it walking and swimming with my dogs. Nice breeze most of the time I was there so bugs were not a problem. At sunset I put on long sleeves and pants and a small amount of bug spray as a preventative. The cold outdoor shower was refreshing.

Boondocking on a beach for 120 pesos. Quiet on weekdays but strongly recommend to avoid this place on weekends or holidays. Locals visit Punta Hermosa on weekends and blast music all day into the evening until the park closes, while parking right next to your RV on all sides... Many bugs (sand fleas and mosquitoes).

Beautiful spot, we were by ourself, protected by the two cute dogs living there. Amazing sunset and we felt safe. We arrived around 2pm and the gate was open. Antonio and his wife came by in the evening and they are very nice. He told us about the huge hurricane last year and that almost 100 palms fell down. 120pesos per night.

Great quiet spot to relax but can get very busy during the holidays and weekends as locals come during the day to enjoy the beech. The gate only opens at 11am so went through a small opening on the fence to leave earlier. No need for 4x4. 120$ for the night no services.

Spent two nights here. Antonio and his family run the place. They open from 11 to 19hs. Sometimes he arrives a little bit late, around 14hs, just check with a neighbor if the gate is not open after 11am. We paid 120 pesos per night. Cold showers and water available. During the weekend place gets crowded, but weekdays are empty. Loads of palapas. Mosquitoes and sand flies are terrible but if you park in the palapas right in front of the entrance there is more wind and not so many flies or mosquitoes. We did small fires every night and that seemed to work. They told us that during easter locals gather here so expect like 600 cars during this time (fyi). Watch out for dolphins in the evening!!

Beautiful, wild, empty (at list when we were there). Amazing sunset, dolphins. Great! 120mx p night.

Nice little beach close to town.
Road is dirt but doable in any vehicle. Couple of rigs there, nice views with palm trees and palapas.
Beach is clean but some mosquitos and bugs which made us go inside as soon as the sun went down.
Clean toilets, showers are outside and cold but good if it's too hot!
120 pesos per night - Veronica, who runs the place, is a very nice lady.
Gate was open early in the morning (7am) when we were there so we could leave easily.

Nice beach, stayed 2 nights and saw dolphins both nights. Gate is only open from 11am-5pm, we wanted to leave earlier so removed a bit of barb wire and 4x4 across a small ditch (and then put the wire back - looked like we weren’t the first to do this)

It's still there, still beautiful and still MEX$ 100. They close the gate by 7 p.m. and there was a big festival in town so we didn't stay.

We were there at Chrismas, lots of Mexicans doing party during the day. Was interesting and in the evening they left the camping. Lots of no seems and other bugs.

Beautiful beach, abundant with palm trees.Camping with palapas or further down the beach without. It's more private further down the beach. The Mosquitos and No-see-ums rule this beach with tiny biting iron fists, so bring bug spray or pray for a bit of wind to keep em at bay. We paid $100MXN for the night. There are bathrooms. There might also be another way in if you want to boondock further for free. We saw fishermen in trucks coming from that direction. It also looks perfect for kayaking here. We are on a time schedule for the next few days or would have otherwise.

"Almost boondocking" on the north shore of the estuary. Parking under palm trees with palapas for shade. Cold showers and toilets in restroom building. Quite buggy but beautiful. Should be free but if you show up on a Sunday, the locals will try to charge you 120 pesos/night
