Latest Check-Ins

tons of space, easy access, great sunsets, close to interstate and services

Report Check-In

Skooliepalooza was hosted here. No problems at all staying on the BLM. Noise limits are not up kept so if you want a quiet night make sure you park away from others! Rocky enough that when it downpoured rain I still made it out okay.

We stayed one night to meet up with friends. Drive about 3 miles in to get past the derelict vehicles and beyond the gravel plant. Nice flat open areas up top. Watch for sharp slate like rock. Beautiful sunset.

Lots of space to spread out. This is the location for Skooliepalooza 2023

SKOOLIE PALOOZA, good spot lots of camps good cell service. OK road in. some bad spots. awesome AZ sunsets p)go get ya some.

Report Check-In

Lots of flat space, gorgeous sunsets. Lots of other campers but there’s tons of space so you can easily find your own corner of the desert.

Long gravel road, looks like they keep it graded as there is a build up of rocks along edge of road. Side effect of that, though there is tons of space, it is hard to get off the road, you have to find a little 'driveway' where the rocks have been cleared away (unless you are able to drive over the rocks). There are lots of 'driveways', tho. Lots of other trailers in sight but lots of space between each. A few trashed sites with deserted campers at the start of the road, near the active gravel pit, just keep going past all that.We stayed one night, did not hear any noise from the nearby active gravel pit. Flying J is right at the highway entrance, very convenient for showers, etc, if needed. Beautiful sunset.

This spot is awesome! There's a lot of people here, some long-term, but there's so much space to explore, you can definitely find a spot to yourself. It was very sunny when I was there, but windy, so it was nice. The stars are great! There's a super sweet stray that wonders around. I was told he's been there awhile. He wouldn't let me pet him, but he made friends with my dog (even after she chased him off a few times). If you're looking for a new friend, please take him!

Lots of open area for spacing out. Quiet, nice views, beautiful sunset. I was even greeted with a rainbow!

little rocky but was fine in my chevy express. Good Att signal 3 bars.
This is a great location. As soon as you take the Ehrenberg exit you go left and up a county road about 3 miles and then spacious, flat, clean, gravel-y spots one after another. I'd say it's about 1/5 full as I can see the occasional RV or van but is enough room to park several campgrounds between us. This is in mid March and I came in at night with no probs. Truck stop 3 miles back down the road. So far it's pretty awesome!

Report Check-In

A wide open area of BLM land with very little around it.
SkooliePalooza 2022 v2.0

Report Check-In

Lots of wide open space for camping all along this road & off the spur roads. Many people camping in this area, but it's so massive, everyone was able to be well spaced out. Some ATVs, but most camping areas are away from the road so dust isn't an issue. Some fireworks all weekend due to NYE, but otherwise very quiet. The road in is a bit bumpy and washboarded, but not too bad & accessible for all vehicles. 3 bars with T-Mobile.
