Something not right?

Description

Very friendly young subcontracted staff, not the owners anymore; but everything works. Despite the entrance maybe saying "closed" by error, it is open. Open field next to the river. Plenty of space for cars and tents (they provide sheltered space to put your tent up under it). Will soon be opening a coffee shop and a cabin to rent with a river view.
Bathroom and showers.
8000 pesos per person.

Beautiful location!!

This is a beautiful quiet place to camp with a friendly and helpful owner Jose. We were able to camp near river in our rig and enjoyed the isolation. Bathrooms clean and showers hot. Cafe serves good pizza and cinnamon rolls amongst other items. Wifi is fast and reliable. Our dog loved playing in the river. Other dogs there are friendly.

Report Check-In

The price to camp here is 8000 clp pp, which is fine for Chile. Other services are expensive (washing the clothes 15.000 clp, family pizza 18.000 clp, pizza for one 9.000 clp, coffee about 3.500 clp. The place itself is above average and nice for sure, but I wouldn't say extraordinary. Nice location next to a very fast flowing river, fishing is kind of possible but hard. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Wifi can be used for free, but until 7-8 pm when they close the reception. Wifi only around the reception building. No service for Movistar. When driving down to the campsite be aware of high sharp stones that can damage the bottom of your car if you don't have high clearance. Couple of hiking trails next to the river 30min or so each. Some firepits with stone rings, can make fire. Some coverage for wind for rooftop tents, but not much. Wooden covers for tents. Toilets are pretty far from the bottom campsites that are near the river. No electricity (you can charge your phone at the reception, but not something that is very powerful). Anyway, I do recommend, good price for what you get and really beautiful location with nature around but other than that nothing special and plenty of better ones available.

Report Check-In

Magic stop after a long day.
Pizza, beer, and freshly baked Cinnamon scrolls. Camping shelters are nicely spaced out, some are closer to the bathrooms and cafe (hottest shower in Chile!) while others are closer to the Rio.
8000 pp

Report Check-In

Great pizza at the cafe. Good selection of beer. Perfect stop after a day on the road. Do not camp here but site appears well equipped and cared for. Very friendly staff.

Report Check-In

nice camping with everything you may desire from a place like this. As a cyclist don't expect any special service, the real casa cyclista in the area is in Amengual town. the 8000 pesos for this place is still good price and every official camping spot has a rain cover and bench on site

Report Check-In

We came here around 9:00 in the morning. The staff are absolutely wonderful and while we were just planning a coffee, we decided in the end to stay a few nights. As I work on the road, it was great how they accommodated my need for just a small space, good Internet, and a cup of coffee every once in a while. I highly recommend this place for a stop or a stay to anyone passing through!!!!

Report Check-In

Wonderful! We only planned to spend one night here, but we decided to stay an extra night, and we spent the day just enjoying the campsite and relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Check out the short hiking trails they have made on the property. The trail next to the restaurant leads to a really cool abandoned bridge over the river. Bathrooms were very clean and showers were very hot. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Wifi was fast, but it only really works at the restaurant. They have covered areas/shelters for tents as well as various rooms/cabins for rent.
Camping is still 8,000 clp pp/pn, + 1,000 for wifi.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite as described, clean facilities, warm shower. River and smal beach/sandy bank is very beautiful. In the end we have spent 2 nights and try their coffee and lemon and cinnamon pie - all very tasty. Price 8000 CLP/ppn + 1000CLP for WiFi. Recommended!

Report Check-In

It’s a very nice place and campsites are nicer if you go towards the river (but a bit of a walk back if you want to use the toilets/showers). 8000pp. WIFI is very fast now, but they charge you 1000 for the duration of your stay to use it. It’s cheap, but paying extra for WIFI felt weird. No stove for cooking. Toilets are clean and the showers aren’t hot unless you adjust the heater (which they tape up and don’t want you to do).

Report Check-In

Amazing!!! We rented a cabin for a couple days for Christmas. Twas perfect. Very clean, well outfitted. Amazing attentive staff. Right on the river. Certainly would recommend just be warned, might be hard to leave!!! Oh yeah, good hot showers in the cabin. Not sure about the campsites. Another tip, our GPS took us past the site and to the small town of amengual. If you are heading south, look on the left right after crossing the river. Good luck. Safe travels.

Report Check-In

Lots of room here and beautiful scenery. Welcoming staff. Very eco-friendly with solar panels and efforts to conserve resources. You will have to take your garbage with you to deposit at the next town. Electricity is only available at the restaurant for charging phones, etc. There is no opportunity to plug in continuously if that is what you are looking for (and we were!) However, we enjoyed our stay here. 8000 pesos per person and no extra charge for the camper truck. No wifi or cell service.

Report Check-In

Really nice staff, beautiful location with shelter for tents. Facilities clean. Warm place (cafe) to rest and get dry and warm :)

Report Check-In

Extraordinary friendly and welcoming staff at family run eco camping. Plenty of nice, sheltered camping spots scattered along the river and lawn and two small refugios. Clean facilities over all, possibility to by home made pizza, cookies and pastries etc. Breakfast offered as well. Beautiful surroundings with a nice sendero right from the campground. Adoring dogs, cats and a few hens around. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Really nice place with friendly owners. Shower was hot, but not for everyone ;-) everything was very clean. They have shelters where you can camp underneath, but our rooftoptent didn’t fit (to high) but still we had advantage from it against the wind. They also sell homemade food like bread, cookies, muffins and pizzas. They also have two hikes, one from 15 minutes to the river and one from an hour into the forest. WiFi was really bad. We had to pay 8000 clp per person.

Report Check-In

Open in this time of the season. Clean, Hot showers, nice place. Payed 8000 pp with a van.

Report Check-In

Amazing place next to Rio Cisnes. The young owner is very hospitable and speaks english. Made a place for me while still preparing for low season. Paid 10.000CLP for a room with a bed on the campsite. Options for camping and cabanas as well. On of the only options on this stretch of the Carretera. Whatsapp: +56971548068. Would highly recommend!

Report Check-In

We arrived here on a rainy and windy day and could park our campervan anywhere on the grassy field (8.000 pp). The refugio itself is a very cosy and warm area and they offer a lot of different food and drinks! Bear in mind that the pizza’s are so big that you can share one ;) The camping has warm showers and clean toilets. WiFi was inconsistently working.

Report Check-In

Very friendly young subcontracted staff, not the owners anymore; but everything works. Despite the entrance may say "closed" by error, it is open.

Report Check-In

Closed, supposedly because of low season.

Report Check-In

Really beautiful place with lots of space to be. Shower was warm, clean and good. Camping ground is covered so in case of rain tent stays dry. Camping 5000 cp pp, 7000 bed. They make really good bread and currently offer breakfast which was very good!

Report Check-In

Just adding some more beautiful photos. There are a few cabanas to hire. The drive in can get a bit muddy if it's been wet.

Report Check-In

Lovely place with great facilities. 7000 peso camping. Cafe has good food and drinks. New spacious toilets and showers with hot water and somewhere for you to put your clothes.

Report Check-In

Sorry, it’s overrated and expensive. For cyclists no opportunity to cook in a kitchen and no common room. Due to bad weather they offered us a twin bed in a 6 square meter room for 25,000. No facilities, no electricity. Later we discovered that there’s no sheets, pillowcases or a towel

Report Check-In

Fantastic place. Stayed at the river with nice campfire. We were lucky and were able to also use the house at t. Amazing house. Book the private double room in advance. Otherwise most likely taken

Report Check-In

Fantastic place.
We camped at the river with nice campfire.
Likely we also could get the house on the premises. The private room is super. Book in advance. Real rear.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

nice place and you are covered from the rain (you can pitch your tent under a shelter)

Report Check-In

Very nice couple running the camping. There are some clean hot showers and toilets. 5000 CLP/pp. Possibility to rent cabanas but we don't know the price.
They are self-sustained, producing their own electricity. We really enjoyed the company of their 2 playfull dogs, 2 cuddly cats, and 21 frightened sheeps.

Report Check-In

great camping and cabanas. we stayed in one of the rooms because it was raining heavily. it has everything, the couple and their primo are really nice and hot water works really well!! really recommend. we paid 14,000 for a room

Report Check-In

Wonderful place to stay for cyclists or anyone. the owner, Jose, his wife and the staff, Mauli are excellent host. Made my stay so comfortable and welcoming after cycling from Puyuhuapi to Villa Amagual. nice to have an option for camping or dorm room. Beautiful location even it's out of town they have everything you to buy if you need to buy fruits, veggies or nuts. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

excellent camping place. hot water, great views, nice owners. wifi in the restaurant.

Report Check-In

nice camping area, good hot shower. access to the camp area could be tricky after heavy rain due to boggy ground. wifi in restaurant.

Report Check-In

muy buen sitio para acampar (carpa o refugio)
cuenta con cafeteria wifi
y la buena atencion y amabilidad de sus dueños

Report Check-In

Would highly recommend this place, it's super lovely and the owners are adorable (so are their dogs). All sustainably run, the food is great, the prices are reasonable.
There's a lot of space for camping, but it was very rainy and windy when I arrived so they gave me a sheltered room (it's still on the campground, not attached to
the main house), just a bed but it was all I needed and I was allowed to take my bike inside it. I paid 6000 CLP for the night

Report Check-In

we wanted to stay here but the sign on the gate said closed (maybe only seasonal).

Report Check-In

very nice Camp ground. Wind shelters. Flat, a lot of services (See Pictures) laundry, camping, cabanas, dorms. Good breakfast! No Internet but hot shower 24/7. Electricity just in habtiations

Report Check-In

Place closed when we arrived. End of season?

Report Check-In

As mentioned really nice camping! But now in high season with more then 10-15 people toilets are not cleaned and shower is dirty. Wi-Fi is slow and works on and off . Expectet more for 7000pP.

Report Check-In

Very good place, hosts are very nice. Shelters to place a tent, i was in the one close to the river, a little isolated. it was very windy at night and the roof was kind of noisy, but the shleter stood still. there is a cafe with snacks and sandwiches available. wifi was not good, probably because there was heavy rain the night before.

Report Check-In

Nicely maintained property. Hot showers, place to do dishes, covered camping shelters or little cabins. We stayed in a cabin for 10,000 per person. Clean and sheltered from the wind. Nice cafe too if you need food.

Report Check-In

We arrive in a rainy day.Very beautiful camping! There are hot showers, clean toilets and a sink for dishes! There is also a warm dining room perfect if the weather is bad. The Wi-Fi is fast instead the electricity for charging continues to pass from on to off but probably because of the wind and rain.
Recommended!

Report Check-In

Beautiful place to stay! The cost for high season is 7,000 CLP I never been in one place like this, with a beautiful landscape, sheep's beautiful river for swimming and be relaxed, hostess are Jose, Dayana and Sami their beautiful daughter! They have a coffee and a delicious lemon pie. The bathrooms are very clean like others places, very recommend for families and couples I meet a lot of cyclists in this place 🤗

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite and cafetería run by Jose and Diana (and of course Sami!). Covered campsites and one of the best hot showers I've had in Chile. The fresh bread and coffee are also the most delicious in Patagonia!

Report Check-In

Super friendly couple, beautiful grounds. Bathrooms clean, cafe was cozy. Still $5,000 pppn, our 5 yo free.

Report Check-In

Not only a campsite but also simple cabanas for 10.000 pp (high season).
The refugio offers drinks, tartes and sandwiches.

Report Check-In

Jose and Diana (and Sami!) are absolutely phenomenal hosts. I was in a pretty bad state (completely soaked, dirty clothes, stranded waiting for a ride) and they not only gave me a ride to their house to camp (and also made sure I knew about the camping options in town) but also let me wash and dry my clothes, fed me, and stayed up with me having great conversation. The most welcoming people I’ve encountered on this trip.

Report Check-In

One word: fantastic! Beautiful setting next to a river with mountain view’s. Couple that runs the camp site including cafeteria (best coffee in Patagonia :)) is cool and super sweet and inspiring. Make sure you get a chance to talk to them about their ambitions and motives to run this place the way they do!
We had a camp spot with a roof, WiFi and warm showers. You’ll find some sheep and a horse walking over the camp area but that makes it even more authentic and worth a visit! Thanks a lot from the carsleepers :)

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

we stopped by and it seemed decent. they offered us 5,000 pp with kids free for our van. hot shower. unfortunately they were setting up dinner for a group so they said we couldn't use the indoor space so we decided to drive in and boondock on the lake.
