STAY AWAY! After 10 months of traveling in Africa this has to be one of the worst places! Bathrooms are super dirty (see photo - hair everywhere in the shower). The wash up place for the dishes was so dirty - dishes everywhere, bones with ants on it and literally no space to wash up anything. This is also not really a campsite, but a very small parking lot at an angle! So rooftop tent is really skew. The staff used the same shower that are suppose to be for guests. We had to wait for them before we could shower and ofcourse there was no hot water left after Mrs. Staff had a 25min shower! For 9$ its a joke! Not recommended!

As others say, fairly average hostel. The lights outside can be a real pain, even from within the dorm rooms. I had someone next to me say the light shine in his eyes all night. I'd recommend having something to cover your eyes.

Report Check-In

decent place to stay in harare. not the best for camping though. lights are on the whole night with no way to turn them off and it's right next to a busy road with traffic until the late hours of the night.
facilities are ok. nice pool.

not the best backpackers I've stayed at by a long shot... not the worst either.

Report Check-In

Nice little campsite with kitchen, bathrooms, shower room, swimming pool, small garden with several small places to rest or eat. Good wifi signal. In van, we paid 9 dollars per night per person. The parking lot is quite small, not easy to maneuver there for the larger vehicles.

Report Check-In

You can camp in the small parking spot at the entrance. It can be a bit noisy… the place is right but not really adapted to camp. Price 9usd/ppn.
Hot shower and shared kitchen. The good point is the good internet connection.

This was probably the worst accommodation we've had in the whole of Zim.
It was quite disappointing to say the least. The backpackers was totally booked out, the staff found a room for us, but charged us an absolutely ridiculous amount for what we got.
We paid 35$ for a room (supposed to be double bed, en suite bathroom), what we got was a queen bed, in a single size room, no door to the bathroom (which is awkward if you're just sharing with a friend), no toilet seat, no shower curtain, then to top it off we had no hot water the next morning.
For 35$ it was such a rip off.

It seems that the backpackers has seen better days. Sad!

Nice quiet friendly place to stay. Quiet relaxed safe area. paid 20usd for a room. Limited camping spots available. Hot showers and good WiFi. Food available but you have to pre order... also breakfast. Communal kitchen. Everything clean and friendly staff. Location within walking distance to shopping centre with supermarkets and restaurants.

Reading the previous experience I almost didn't go....

I ended up parking my vehicle with rooftoptent at the parking lot with the back of my car on the lawn, created a really cozy place for myself ($9).
20 steps to the swimmingpool and 'sheltered' from the entrance.
I think the place is wonderful with a lot of little places to sit and a green garden.

2 bathrooms to share with hot water.

They have plenty other options: dorm 12, tent for 20 and rooms from 30 onwards.

They serve breakfast (don't know the price) and diner (7)

Kitchen for you to use during the day.

I had a very pleasant stay.

The owner, George, is a very friendly man who can help you out if you need help with something.

Report Check-In

The ‘campsite’ is in the middle of the lawn of the backpackers with not much privacy. We had to use our ground tent as there’s no place for rooftop tent or sleeping in your vehicle.

We arrived late and the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. The bathrooms were very run down and there was no hot water.

Didn’t have a pleasant stay.

Report Check-In

We stayed here two nights in the Arusha room for 25 USD per night. The room is okay but the bathroom very run down and their only appears to be one for a lot of people. Staff is really helpful. We were unlucky with the food, our chicken was undercooked. We don't travel by car, but the parkinglot was full with cars when we were there, so I doubt that overlanders could camp here.

Report Check-In

Very cosy backpackers with friendly staff & lot of character/s ... I think it's the only backpackers in Harare, but it's nevertheless a great place to stay - probably the most affordable too :)

Report Check-In

Clean house with clean rooms. some en suite. $40 for an ensuite double bed room. Hot water. Comfortable bed. electricity. friendly staff. would not recommend the "room at the top" which looks like a shack. photo included. it's $50 with en suite but no walls. very breezy in there.

Very nice place, payable rooms and many facility’s (bar, kitchen several terraces, showers and toilets are very good conditioned). Permanent cleaning people from dusk till dawn. Many areas to sit, swimming pool, laundry service, 24/7 support from the nice woman’s at the desk (always smiling and friendly). All is surrounded by trees and palms- very green and many birds. 1km/ 12 min by feet are ATM, Mall, Technical, Liqueur Stores, Bars, Coffee and Breakfast Restaurant. They also offer local meals from their own cooking stuff.
2 Rooms for 4 people with own bathroom 55$. Camping one spot 9$. 2 people rooms from 25$. Ask for the 2 people cottage on top of the facility.

Mr. Sereme, the Manager is a very nice and good person, has a perfect network and can help with many problems. Also can organize tours and has a couple mechanics which has no fear to face big technical issues on your car/ overlanding rig to very fair prices.

Very powerful WiFi, some people used here for a work and travel base.

Here is nothing impossible, perfect place for a visit of beautiful Harare. We had several police check points and every officer was happy and smile and say thanks for visiting Zimbabwe🙂.

$9pppn for camping in the car park. Very noisy from 2am-430am. Manager was apologetic, drunk people coming back and forth. This was on a Saturday night so maybe weekdays would be different.

Report Check-In

Ok backpackers with ok rooms, but dont expect much.

Location was nice, staff however not very friendly except of one girl at the reception.

Report Check-In

Nice (very small) backpackers. We camped with our landcruiser and rooftent in the car park as it wasn't busy. There probably is only space for 2 vehicles. USD$9 pppn. Great WiFi allowing video call. Clean bathrooms with warm showers. They sorted us out with 30L diesel (which is sold at their other lodge site) for $1.30 per litre. The lodge site was much busier and had a big overland group there. Only downside is the noise from the road and no electric hook up. Water is potable and we filled up our tank.

Report Check-In

Very nice place in the centre of Harare. Small pool, shops nearby, very friendly and helpful staff! The owner George had secured 60 litres of fuel for us befor we arrived so thanks to him we are able to travel trough Zim while there is a fuel crisis! Please don’t stay away from Zim, the people are wonderful and will do anything to help you!! They need you now more than ever!!

Report Check-In

Wifi is free now, camping is a big word but I squeezed my campervan in the parking lot, 11USD per night now.

Report Check-In

Rooms pricey for what you get. $42 For double room and shared bathroom. If you don't have $ and use visa they add another 70% on top!

Report Check-In

Nice backpackers in a city like Harare. Camping $11ppn if you use booking is 9ppn. They allowed us to camp in the little grass that they have. Fast wifi. Swimming pool. Kitchen. Hot Shower. Clean. 3kms to the city. Supermarkets are walking distance. The cleanest thing you can see in Harare. Recommended but expensive if u are camping.

As stated before, one small grass spot for one car or tent. Payed $9pppn, which was okay for clean ablutions, kitchen, fast wifi and a good location in Harare.

Report Check-In

Nice little Backpacker on Outskirts of City. There is one small Spot directly near the Reception on green Grass where you can camp (with a normal 4x4 Car, Ground Tents are no Problem). The Car Park is small so there is only Space for one Car. Nice Pool and Garden, communal Kitchen, okay Ablutions, free and fast Wifi, free Electricity. No own Alcohol (they got a Bar). Wanted 9 USD pppn but we negotiated 7,50 USD pppn (because we stayed some Nights and paid Cash). The Mozambique Embassy is only around 5 km away, Supermarkets even less.
