Something not right?

Description

Open designated camping area by the lake. The road is about 8km from the intersection (no signs). Maps.Me shows is as a trail. It is narrow road and with low branches. We did it on a very rainy day and 4WD was need. Fun road to drive and remote free camping.

Latest Check-Ins

Don’t waste your time. This place probably used to be good but it’s no longer free and as of a week ago the managers have “invested” in the place by putting up a bunch of horrific vinyl tents on the best camping sites. Price is 1500pp or $5USD as of today.

They are really friendly people, just haven’t made the place all that nice for our Overlanding expectations. Also, fishing is only possible by boat.

Report Check-In

Difícil acceso, camino angosto, 4x4. Camping muy tranquilo, de pescadores, vista al cerro tronador. Hermoso lago. 800pp para acampar, y 600 pp pasar el día. Proveduria basica.

Report Check-In

Really nice place to camp, On the lake with good views, wild horses came drinking from the lake. We were totally alone here at night in the peak of the season!
In the morning some local tourist came with their boats.
There's a sign indicating no fires allowed, though you'd find many remains of campfires.
Access with 4x4 or high cars.
