Beautiful Place right on the river. They start nice rafting trips here (550 Peso), 2 hours.
Very quiet and safe place at night. We payed 250 $ for 2 nights. Very good for swimming in river and to the canyon with waterfall. There is old but clean toilet and water.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We paid the official entrance fee of MEX$ 50 per car, drove in and set up our camp. At around 8:30 p.m. two men (Leo and Rodolfo) were coming, asking for a camping fee of MEX$ 500. Too tired to move we eventually agreed to pay MEX$ 200 after long discussions — way too much for what you get in terms of amenities. Nice place though.
If you still want to go there, here are the directions: Leave the MEX 129 at 20.000074, -97.177537, following the signs to “La Cascada”. After a couple of hundred meters turn left at 19.994167, -97.178417 (no signs there) and follow the dirt road to the place.
To drive the dirt road down, it‘s good to have high clearance. (But normal cars driving down as well...)
