Description

This is your own parking lot/ palm oasis at a quiet spot of the la punta zicatela beach.
This old ruin of a family house is babysitted by Oscar and his family next door. You pay Oscar 100 pesos per night and can park your car on a leveled spot, put your hammock in the little palm oasis and use - very basic - shower and toilet in the ruin.
There is slow wifi coming from Oscars place next door.

We spend here 3 quiet nights and even got invited by Oscar to join them for New Years Eve celebration!

2018-02-16: Price is now 150 Pesos

Well we simply picked a few different streets around the punta and parked on the street. In a truck
Camper and finally backed right up to the beach. Walking distance to the break at the punta. Shady for the most part and free! Safe Town and no hassle from policia or locals 4G signal and tons to do. Taxis are all over so one can really explore while leaving their rig parked Stayed 3 nights

Great experience. Only place in town if you have dogs and are a little tall in the truck camper. Very quiet. Oscar was very nice. We got stuck(or I should say “I got stuck”) in the sand off the parking pad. A friend of Oscars pulled us out no charge. It was 50 pesos a person to camp.

Oscar!! what can I say....we stayed here for 2 weeks until the water ran out. stopped by 2 weeks later and he said the water was fixed, then we asked the camper staying there and they said there was a barrel of water to flush and shower with. 100 pesos per night. hell lock the "gate" when you are out and lock you in at random times during the night, you never know... showers are the worst ones I've ever seen but hey they worked. then they didn't. the location is perfect, right near la punta for some great restaurants and surfing. take the good with the bad. if you are self sufficient with water and power and shade it can be a great place. dog friendly. oh yeah, life hack: on top of the old house on the property you will see an amazing sunset. it's worth 100 pesos alone. :)

Wow - it's mid February and the price has already gone up by 50%. Oscar asked for 150 Pesos/night. I assume it would be different if we spoke Spanish. Toilets & showers didn't look clean. Oscar said, we could hook up at the electricity outlet on the wall of the house, but it didn't work (my hubby wasn't too surprised).
We didn't manage to catch the WiFi.
