Very easy to get to, near the eucalyptus forest site, but we followed the road until a turnoff towards the river (gravel). Found a wonderful spot that looks frequently visited, but not too dirty. Some fisherman greeted us in the evening and a group of wild horses in the morning.
There is more than one tack to the river. The one between the bridge and
Eukalyptus site is gated. continue east to the next one.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Access to this area is via the other spot named Riverside Grass
Report Check-InIf this is accessed by the entrance through a deforested area just west of Eukalyptes site nearby then it's gated.
Continue a couple of hundred metres further east of the Eukalyptus entrance and there is a sharp turn down to the river.
Yellow steel gates locked shut. I stayed nearby for ten days. Two of the other sites gated similarly.
Occasionally, I'd see a gate left open but then locked again.
Avoid.
I took a look at Balneario Confluencia just across the bridge. That looks good and extends a fair way along the river. I prefered the more remote side on the north shore to the east.as it felt less public.
Report Check-InIt is a good place, just depends where you choose to stay. As usual, lots of trash in some places. The area is used by locals a lot.
I found a nice area with trees to block the wind and very little trash. A couple of cars an a guy on a horse are all I have seen, besides the river and a great sunset.
Report Check-InMore trash than a beautifull spot. What a shame. Don‘t stay here!
