No problem at all to stay here, I did it several times and always with more other rv’s, tents and vans. It’s a great spot and No sign private property even the people in town next did’t sayed anything
Report Check-Inthis beach is private property now there is no this beach is private property there is no camping
Report Check-InVery nice place, but it is a PRIVATE PROPERTY. We met a man who lives in a camper permanently here. A lot of people comes here, but shouldn't. You can camp on the Escondida beach for 150 pesos instead.
Report Check-Innice place. you park directly on the beach. locals come by to sell blankets, rent Kajaks and stuff.
Report Check-InGreat spot direct on small nice Village. Little noise from the hyway. Try also Punta Arena 6 km north and also on IOverlander !!
Report Check-InVery nice free beach with a lot of place to overnight. Only a little noise from the road. Wind was ok and it is not far to the restaurant.
Report Check-InNice view, but too close to the road, many truck passby at night.
stay only one night.
Report Check-InPlaya Ecomundo, amazing bay with clear water, sand and peaceful atmosphere! We stayed two nights in our van right in front of the bay (there were also 3 rv). Some people came selling bakery products (really good!)or textiles, even water if you need. People say to be careful of stingrays and step strongly sand, always looking at where you step, and we did even if we didn’t see any stingray. We really loved this free place!
Report Check-Inamazing free spot. easy access, no cellphone service, plenty of space, very quiet. no Street dogs so I let my little chihuahua running everywhere.
Report Check-InGreat free beach camping. We spent a night here and enjoyed walking over to Lucy’s restaurant for breakfast. Felt very safe and minimal noise from highway. There seems to be a semi-permanent RV on the beach, a boat marine mechanic, so you are safe. Also rented a kayak for half a day, 150 pesos, from the tourist info shop by Lucy’s. The island in the bay has so many different birds. Very beautiful and chill spot. Watch out for the sting rays in the shallows!
Report Check-InReally nice and flat sand/gravel spot. Easy to acces with any vehicule. Really big and 100%free.
There are some stingrays, be carefull where you step
The “town” is only in season from October to May, so no rentals there through the rest of the year. Water really clear, my sweetie only saw one sting ray in the hour he was out there but stay careful. Very quiet, just fish jumping into the night and the island of seagulls going nuts during sunset.
I think the sand fleas are attacking us but I’m reading that only bite in the fall? Who knows.
Report Check-InChill spot! Plenty of spaces short walk to the hotsprings. Good room for the pup to roam around..get it while you can though from what I hear this place won’t be free for long.
Report Check-InBeautiful bay! We loved this place. Great for kids. snowbirds built this lovely community and take care of this area. And the best... free!!!
Report Check-InNice bay to stay for free in Bahia Concepcion.
local vendors come during the day offering fish, water and artwork.
We stayed three nights with other campers.
No services, no cell coverage.
This was an old Eco Camp that burnt down, remnants of it can still be seen. You can camp any where on this waste ground. No one in Posada seems to know who owns it now, probably federal land. Only problem with tent camping was lack of shade and some days can be very windy. Very quiet apart from the trucks occasionally using their J brakes. Lucy's restaurant in Posada does good food. No phone signal, you have to go to km marker 124 for that. Wi-fi can be bought at the restaurant on Santispac beach. There is a hot spring on this beach, look for the 'light bulb' shaped rocks in the water, most visible at low tide, but its shallow. There are 3 other hot springs, one under the palapa on the waters edge, one at the north end last street, and one under the cliff with the houses on. I think kayaks are available for rent too, ask at Lucys.
Report Check-InWe couldn't get to Playa Escondido on our 2wd but luckily we found this small beach before. Simple dirt road down from the highway. It's a small bay with white sand looking over a small town where there are some houses and a Posada.
Very quiet, clear water for swimming and kayaking. Some other campers around so it felt safe, stayed for about 3 days. Some vendors in the mornings but no one collecting a fee so 100% free!
Extra: There are thermal water pools overlooking the ocean you can use for free on the other side of the bay - just walk over to where the houses end!
