Latest Check-Ins

The previous reviews have nothing to do with the reality today. Indeed, nature is still great. For the rest it’s hard for me to find something to say positive about this place. We see it must have been a beautiful place, now many things broken and dirty. At most places no running water, no Wifi.
For us it looked like owners left 2 years ago and since then no one took care on the facility anymore.
At the pool very loud music from a group, everywhere empty bottles and other trash. The several bars are all closed/broken. The stuff sat together at the as well dirty reception and waited till it gets evening.
Its a shame to see it like this. A strong hand would help to turn it into beautiful again.

Excelente lugar! La naturaleza es una belleza, tienen un sembradío de cacao, perfecto lugar para visitar las termas y descansar unos días. Don Hugo nos hizo sentir en casa. Ampliamente recomendado.

Wonderful place! The nature around is spectacular, they have a cacao plantation, a perfect place to visit the thermal pools and rest for a few days. Mr. Hugo made us feel as if at home.
Very recommended.

Beautiful spot. Have the whole place to myself. friendly workers. Very clean. Good wifi. Electricity for the camper is available. there is a PowerPoint near the chapel. Great spot. $10 per person per night.

Decided to stay the night in a room $50, allowed dog in room with us. Clean and tidy. Had evening meal “pollo and rice” $6 each - pretty ordinary. Breakfast pretty ordinary too. Wifi didn’t work - maybe a one off. But a very nice looking property.

Nice place, friendly owners. Big, clean pool. It was super hot so we didn't go to the hot springs down the road, we just stayed in this pool. $10 per adult, including breakfast (eggs, bread, juice, coffee). Internet and a few nice hang out areas. We were the only customers the whole time we were there so had free reign of the place!

Report Check-In

This place is very expensive. I recommend going to hot spring el Paraíso (-2.62017, -79.49555) here you pay only usd2.5 pp and usd1.5 per children. You have several pools of hot water, BBQ area, no noise at night, away from the village, the guards and owners are friendly, in the day there is restaurant service and liquor bar.

Report Check-In

We managed to stay for $10pp. Expensive but it was dark and the only place around. Really lovely staff. Nice grounds. Yummy breakfast. No tours. Cold showers. Wifi only works near reception, not at camp spot. But overall all a nice spot.

The road there is all paved. Maps.me wasn't showing the whole route, but there is a turn off with a tourist signpost for the Shuar community. Easy to find.

$12 pp pn for adult. $6 pp pn for child. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. Definitely not worth just an overnight stop.

Report Check-In

Fantastic place to camp or stay for $15/pp. They gave us a nice grass/gravel patch to setup our camp and allowed us to use the dining area to eat our dinner and dodge the rain. The included breakfast was great, fantastic hot chocolate and coffee. The host (Erica) and owner (Hugo) were very accommodating and generous. Great recommendation iO

Report Check-In

The beauty of the place and the big swimming pool are the only positive things, for the rest it's way too overpriced (we paid 10$/p for sleeping in our van) and be careful with what you ask, everything is charged in extra. Food is very basic. Commodities are acceptable. No wifi and no hot chocolate in the morning anymore. Very disapointing!

Report Check-In

We stayed for 15 dolars for both of us with one tent. Breakfast was included. Quiet place to stay for one night.

Report Check-In

Peaceful place & friendly staff. $10pppn is a bit expensive but it's a pretty location, the pool is nice (they brought us free 'welcome drinks' to enjoy by the pool) & good breakfast included. Wi-fi works but is very patchy. Good clean bathroom to use in one of the cabins but only cold water.

Una estafa!!! muy malo y super caro. Recomiendo hacer 1km mas y dormir en el estacionamiento de las termas.

Report Check-In

Too expensive for what you get. 10$ per person per night for parking on a narrow undeven road with dirty showers in poor conditions. Loud party people till late at night.

Report Check-In

10$/night. The alternative coordinates posted below took me 45 minutes too far south on the highway. The location on ioverlander is pretty close.

Extremely friendly people and stunning place with cabanas, pool, jacuzzi, restaurant. We parked our camping car in front one of the cabanas and could use the bathroom. Since they are stil under construction, there was no internet yet. I m sure they will fix this soon. The exact GPS coordinates are 3.07808 -79.76521

This place is definetly not that nice as it sounds!!!!!I think the owners changed...it's ok for small campers, but not for big rigs...we paid USD 20.- for 2 persons and the camper...with breakfast...but it's to much for the service...and soooo noicy all the time...a lot of locals use it, music all day and at night...just cold showers and the bathrooms are not clean at all...well let's say ok for a night but not more...we wouldn't go again if we had another choice!

Report Check-In

We were charged $10/person included breakfast.

Diego wasn't around, but it is a lovely place. We were the only ones here most of the time.

Report Check-In

Wish we could have stayed longer. Great price and event better facilities and accommodation. Diego was great to deal with and he and the owner Hugo took us for a local tour of Cacau operations and natural pools. Absolutely recommend.

nice and quiet location with very friendly staff. diego the manager showed us the jungle and the surrounding with a guide. wifi ok but slow. good price for what you get.

My husband, my dog and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely great! The entire place is brand new and very clean! They have luxury rooms in the main building with an outside pool that has a wet bar in the pool. They also have cabins that can accommodate 2 people all the way up to 8 people and incredible camping facilities with restrooms and showers that are also very clean! They have restaurant with a real Chef named Diego (who speaks perfect English) and he cooks some of the best meals we have had in Ecuador, that average only $5 per plate! This place also makes their own chocolate, grows their own fruit, and raises their own fish in their private lake. The lake will soon have paddle boats and it´s own wet bar! They also take you on free tours to the botanical gardens, the hotsprings and their chocolate farm! We paid only $15/each for a cabin and free breakfast with coffee and homemade chocolate milk (yumm)! Camping is only $5 per person, and they have tents you can rent if you don´t have your own. You must stay here if you're anywhere close -- it´s a place to truly relax and enjoy the best Ecuador has to offer!

This was a great place to relax for a few days! Very clean with everything you need - campsites, cabins, pool, restaurant, clean bathrooms and showers. I was even able to get the toothpaste and soap here that I had forgotten to pick up at the store on the way! They have their own lake and a chocolate farm. They are working on a miniature golf course and expect to have it open in a few weeks! They also have laundry service and give free tours of the botanical garden, chocolate farm, and hotsprings. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Diego the manager and chef who speaks English and knows all about the area. I felt like I was at a fancy resort with all the amenities, but the price is lower than a lot of the other places I have stayed. They also have great music and karaoke! You should definitely stay here and ask Diego to grill the fresh fish with garlic sauce! Amazing!
