Description

The dirt road to the Microondas San Francisco is a bird spot where you can easily see the Black-chested Sparrow.
But it's also a nice walk along the dry forest there.
We stopped at the quarry because the road is very bumpy and is better suitable with a 4x4 afterwards.
Sleeping here is fairly quiet. You barely hear the main road under. It's also safe because private security from the mine above watch the area.
Acess to the dirt road is at km145 of MEX80 north of Autlan.

Not as peaceful as others described according to my experience. Cars and bikes drove nearby during the night and we heard a gunshot close by. No one bothered us tho.

Safe and quiet place to sleep for a night. Like the previous person had mentioned, you can pull in way back so your not visible from the dirt road.

sadly this place is full of toilet paper. other than that it's a quite place with a nice view and great birding!

Quarry as described, the gravel road to this spot is a little steep in some areas so we took it slow and made it fine in our combi.
It’s a decent sized area to pull into with enough bush that when we were pulled all the way in we were well hidden from the road. Nice quiet spot, spent one night here, nobody bothered us. Just had some cattle roaming around the van in the morning. Beautiful views of the mountains and farm land below.
