hospitalidad y super buena onda
This Camping is normally open. A los of big places, grill, hot shower and bathrooms. Lovely fireman's owners people's.
Price p/p: 7.000 ARS
Car/camper: 5000 ARS
It still looks deserted and isn’t operational, but there’s a guy in a van at the entrance, friendly and everything but charging $2,000p tent… didn’t look legit at all since there are no bathrooms/water etc. We went to another campground down the road.
Report Check-InChecked it out but didn’t feel right. Some random guy told us it was 1000 to camp even though there are no facilities… it’s not the best neighbourhood in town so have this one a pass
Report Check-Incamped next door and heard police cleared everyone out in the middle of the night
Report Check-InNot operational so no facilities available besides the bbq’s, but you can enter with a van, tent, or motorhome. Central location in town.
Report Check-InThis is now an abandoned campsite. You can still camp here. When I was here, there was a motorbike meeting going on, and the communidad cleaned the toilets and put on the water. Even if they close the water, there are still working taps behind reception and between the bbq's. Very nice environment next to a little river. Bit of road noise. Nice free spot close to the centre.
Report Check-Inyou can Access this Site but its Nobody there. looked very rundown, moved on....
Report Check-InHemos estado 2 noches y no ha aparecido nadie en ningun momento. Estaba abierto y estamos 2 motorhomes y 3 campistas. Sin servicios de ningun tipo. El lugar es agradable
Report Check-InNovember 2022 is closed to set up tents, no bathrooms, nobody attends, abandoned, you can enter with a motorhome
Report Check-InIdeal camp super close to downtown El Calafate. Price is 1000 ARS pp/pn for tent camping and includes hot shower, fast wifi near reception, bathrooms with TP, DIY laundry area electricity/grill at tent site. The reception is also a mini market stocked with all the necessities.
Report Check-InBig camping with an area only for motorhomes and a tap for water near.
Camping close to town, hot water, convenience. 1900 pesos ARG for a trailer and 3 people.
Very clean and warm bathroom building. Showers hot and strong pressure. Separate areas for dish washing and clothes drying. Playground for kids. Internet only works near the entrance. Very empty due to Covid - they said they only had about 30% of normal tourism, and we were the first foreigners they'd seen this year, whereas normally foreigners are most of the customers! So we had most of the parking lot to ourselves, but if it were full then it wouldn't be my favorite van camp because you are just in the parking lot. 300 pesos per person.
Report Check-InReally good infrastructure. 250 pppn.
Every tent spot has its own grill for barbecue.
Showers were awesome! hot 24/7 with good pressure.
Defects: Slow wifi, only in reception. No kitchen. No commun area for hangout.
Really near from the city center.
ps. There is a GREAT brewery nearby called La Zorra
Report Check-InEverything ok except the toilets and the showers but actually like everywhere in SA.
Report Check-InWasn’t sure what to expect considering very mixed reviews, but this is definitely one of the nicest “town campsites” we’ve stayed in (comparing to northern Argentina and southern Chile). Nice atmosphere, very well maintained and good location. WiFi must have improved - was very good in the morning (even got it in my tent) but not so much later in the day. Yes the showers are a little cramped, but they’re hot, good pressure and there’s enough space to change etc.
Variety of spacious tent pitches to choose from, each one has picnic tables and electricity. Very busy when we were here, but peaceful enough at night. Agree it seems more tent friendly, not so sure I’d appreciate if in a vehicle - they were all in a car park. 250 pesos pppn
Report Check-InReally good and big camping side for tents, warm water to have shower and places outside to wash clothes and dishes. Next to it have hostel and restaurant. Few blocks away from center.
Report Check-InWe paid 300 pesos per person + 100 pesos for the camper now. WiFi didn’t work, showers were really crowded.
Report Check-Inif you're in a tent, this one is better than Amsa across the street. the camper area here though is tight and looks like a construction area set apart from the rest of the grounds. both sites require sitting near reception to get poor WiFi. the showers at Amsa are hotter and less crowded. the girls at reception were quite rude with me here.
Report Check-InA simple campsite located in the centre of El Calafate.
Abolution blocks are out dated, cleaned everyday. Hot water available.
For overland trucks there is a small parking on the back, which is not big.
You park you car next to the other. Electricity avaible.
Wifi not fast, only at reception.
Fire pits only at camping spots for tents.
The town is a nice place to hangout, crap a draft beer, have some dinner and do groceries.
Report Check-InCamping muito bom! As pias pra lavar louca e local pra lavar roupa todos com água quente e fria. Banheiros duchas sao quentes.
250 pesos p.p e 100pesos do veículo.
Report Check-InThe good - very central location, hot water (at least at the women's showers) with good pressure in the showers. Place to wash cloths and separate place for dishes. There is a playing ground for kids. There are tables and places for BBQ. Wifi was good but only near the reception.
The not so good - no privecy in the showers, they are right across from the toilet stalls and there is just a shower curtain and fairly small shower so it's not comfortable getting dress behind it. Lots of people so showers can get very busy. Not the cleanest facilities. Man's toilets were stinky and almost no hot water. Vans "camp" in the gravel parking lot.
Paid 600 ARS for 2pp and the car.
Restaurant - was nice but not amazing and a bit expensive. Had the "parilla libre" - meat was a bit disappointing relative to other places in Argentina.
Report Check-InNice cosy campsite with friendly staff, as said 250 pp per night. Protected for the wind, gave me a free breakfast, in the town centre. Good place to rest after 3 days of battling the wind, heading later for el chaltrén
Report Check-InCentral location really worth it if you need supplies, ATMs etc. Good equipment, rigs can't access many sites but have a shared open place; two sectors accessed separately from the street, connected for pedestrians. Restaurant looks good, but didn't "taste" it.
Report Check-InWe only took hot shower there. Bathrooms are nice and warm, no problems at all. Lady at reception asked 300 peso for two people but after all accepted 200 for two. Nice place.
For camping price is 250 per person.
Camp site just ok, had hot shower and toilets average. But did the job.
Report Check-InWe just needed to take a shower and they accepted for 100 ARS/person.
Clean&hot water. Wifi is available at the reception and in the bathrooms.
Muito bem localizado, podemos explorar a cidade a pé.
Banheiros necessitando manutenção estrutural, mas limpos, com água quente. Proprietários e funcionários muito atenciosos. Wi-Fi com conexão melhor próximo à administração.
Nice camping with good infrastructures, hot shower and wifi is fast. We paid 400pesos for two people and a car.
Report Check-InWe stayed for three nights and also payed 400P for two persons and a camper per night. The showers were really spacious and hot as well as the bathroom itself. We enjoyed the hot water at the open sinks to wash our dishes, too, and were also allowed to use a water hose o fill up our water tank. The parking area is not very private and the WiFi is only available close to the reception. The first night we were allowed to go to the hostel common area to use the WIFI, the second night the other lady refused.
Report Check-Inquiet disappointed, not really friendly, bathroom a bit outdated, the only good thing was the hot shower. a lot of dogs, noise from the road. we were there during low season and we paid the same price than during high season. 150ppn + 100 for the car.
a bed in a dorm is 200ppn
250ppn for a matrimonial, and you will have access to the kitchen, that it's not allowed for campers or for ppl staying in the hostel, even when it's pouring outside :/
you are not a site with your car, you are in parking lot.
I think it's better to sleep in the ypf and come here just for a shower or another campsite ..
Very close to the city center. 400 pesos for 2 people with a car. Clean and heated toilet, hot shower and washing (clothes and cooking) facilities. wifi is average. 2 nights spent here.
Report Check-InNot the best place, but you pay like $3dlls per person, hot shower and WiFi was pretty good. Dirt parking lot, noise from the road indeed. The parrilla libre restaurant in this place is super cheap and delicious. Pet friendly.
Report Check-InWe used their ‘hostel’ option which was a tiny tiny cabana in the campsite. Do not recommend. If you’re camping I’m sure it’s fine but we really wanted a hostel so we could relax a bit and be under one roof instead we had to walk far to the toilets and showers with a sick kid this wasn’t good
Report Check-InClean, perfectly working and spacious showers and toilets, sink outside for dishes and clothes has hot water (!). Nice reception. Wi-Fi works good but only close to reception. Comparatively quiet for a place in the centre. Dogs barking though at night, not different from most places around here, and their excrement all over the place.
Report Check-InNice and central. Good cooking facilities and benches outside. Perfect for one night. Some wild dogs around - harmless but charming
Report Check-InThey said they will not sell hot shower service. They told me to pay 200 for camping and will take shower. Sad, I left and go other campsite.
Report Check-InWe staied one night with our motorhome. The toilette was very clean, hot water during shower and warm ambient in the bathroom. Possibility to wash clothes and dishes with hot water. Any motorhome or tent position has its own space with own charger!!! Possibility to have lunch/dinner at the restaurant whose prices are not so expensive.
Very recommended!!!
Price 200 pp.
Great place, bbq spot, many trees to protect from the wind and sun, hot shower and good wifi only in the reception.
Report Check-InSpent another three nights here. Again enjoyed the amenities at this campground. 24h electricity and hot showers plus good washup area for the dishes are not easy to get around here, we have learned. It was quite loud in the nights, street noise as well as BBQ parties on the campground.
This time we also tried the restaurant. The parilla libre is huge and comes with empanadas, salad bar and a desert, so it's good value. The service was nice.
don't leave food in your tent. the dogs might chew a hole in your tent to get the food. leave ur food somewhere safe or stay away from this campsite.
Report Check-InThe entrance is on the west side of the icon in the app. wifi works, showers are good, electricity available. there is only one thing to complain about. the dogs. there are many of them around the campsite. more than one peed on my tent. i advise you to keep your tent closed and don't leave food alone on the tables if your not nearby. they will eat your food. I met another touring cyclist here. he got some meat from another guy. when we walked back to the tent, the dogs ate the meat. don't leave food in your tent. the dogs may bite a hole into your tent to get the food.
Report Check-InDuplicate, same place as La Marca!
We had a nice night here. The campground is nice and well maintained. Hot showers, reasonably clean bathrooms. Wifi reaches first tent spots, but is slow and unreliable. In the evening there was a loud party, not sure if it stopped at 1 am (official time you have to be silent). We paid 150 pppn plus 100 for the car. She first forgot to charge us for the car but then we had to pay.
Report Check-InGreat place. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, playground, relatively fast WiFi!
Report Check-InStayed here one night to use showers and wifi - they worked well. Also ate at the La Marca restaurant and had a good meal of lamb. The parking stops for overlanders are right next to one another so don't expect privacy but overall a good place to stay in town if you are wanting showers and other amenities.
Report Check-InTypical city-camping 150 for one person in a tent. Lots of shade trees and benches/tables. Good coffee. Didn't get to try the food as the restaurant was closed on Monday. Restrooms/showers are a bit dated an dark but otherwise ok. Water was hot. Plenty of outside sinks for doing dishes and laundry. They also offer rooms in the associated hostel.
Report Check-InThe place is quite ok.
There's space for several campers.
The " Campground" is also used as a big asado barbecue and recreation place for locals. On weekends quite busy.
Showers really hot.
Price for 2 persons + car 400;- pesos p.n.
hot showers, hot water on lavatory and to wash dishes. heated toilets and too many grills. 150 p.p
Report Check-In50 pesos for a ducha caliente... 510 per kilo of lamb a la parrillaaaaaa... buy your own wine, make your own sides and enjoy the #vanlife in the Patagonia..
Report Check-InPrice is 150 ars pp and 100 ars for the car now. Rest as described.
Report Check-Innice place to stay in town, paid 180 me + my car. a bit noisy during the night I stayed, I doesn't mean it is all the time. depends who's around you. I've been unlucky to have a neighbor listening to electro dance music at 8am
Report Check-InAn OK pit stop but ‘camper’ area on dirt and very cramped when full. Not really acceptable. On the positive side toilets and other facilities good.
Report Check-Inwe paid 120 CPL/P AND 60 CPL for the camper. There is an extra section for vehicle based camping with a separate entrancebut pretty small sites. Not far from sanitary building but far from WiFi. You can park closrt to reception but it is just the parking for the tenters
Report Check-In160pp for camping with van (this is if you dont need electricity). Wifi at reception with ok speed. Cleanliness average. staff friendly. Close to the main street. Showers hot. But watch your belongings! I feel like nobody watches out who really belongs there and who doesnt. I overheard multiple people telling the reception that they had things missing.
Report Check-InWell maintained/organized camping. Tables & BBQ niche for every spot. Facility block: clean & 24h hot water, not only to shower, but also to wash dishes, clothes & hands (all separately assigned parts of the facility block). Shower: good pressure and hangers & dry benches provided. Toilet with paper, soap, toilet seat & doors that close. Location downtown (all you need you reach nearby on foot) yet not too loud. Overall: recommendable
Report Check-InCamping, Hostel and place for motorhome. we only took shower 50 pesos/person. camping looked very very nice. Better than normal I think. All facilities available, power hot shower, vifi, restaurant and more
Report Check-InNice camping with great facilities: even has hot water for washing the dishes and laundry. Grills on every camping spots (they sell wood and coal if needed). Wifi and hot showers. 130 pesos pp in a campervan. Has a restaurant too.
Report Check-InI really enjoyed this place! It's green with trees and some grass and has good picnic tables. Considering how close it is to the main street, it's a great place to stay to enjoy being outside AND enjoy the lovely downtown of El Calafate. Very clean too, and even has hot water do wash dishes. Price was 90 pesos for the motorhome plus 120 per person.
Report Check-InUsed the camping for hot shower (50$ pp) and WiFi. Unfortunately I forgot my clothes when finished showering and when I went back the next day they were nowhere to be found. Maybe already stolen while I was in the shower?
Report Check-InWe came here late at night and are happy to find it open. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Showers are good. Wi-Fi only in the reception. The layout isn't support great as it has a road to either side of the camp grounds. Otherwise an OK place to spend the night. AR $100/person to camp.
Report Check-InVery nice camping well located in the town center. Fast internet but the showers are only warm, not hot. The 100 pesos for tents is on the open grass area which is closed now for repairs. the entrance tent area is 120 per person plus 40 per moto but we dealer to pay only 120 total from the second day on. Some people were robbed during the night when we were there as they left bags under the vestibule area of their tent. put everything inside and its fine. There are a lot of trees dropping sticky sap so bring a tarp if you don't want your tent to be sticky. Nice restaurant on site with all you can eat BBQ meat. The lamb is so good!
Report Check-InNice looking campground next to a small river and beside a loud road. Toilets and showers are not always clean. WiFi does not always work. Lockers available with extra charge. We paid 100 peso pp with tent.
Report Check-InWe paid 165 pesos/adult and 80 pesos/child including our motorhome.
With electricity and water to fill in the tanks. Hot showers and wifi.
We didn't found the place very nice but very good location to go in town
330 totaly for 2 Person and a Big Rig
Good Facilities
Internet only at the Reception
Ok spot
Warm showers
Internet on and off
420 for 2 persons plus child in a 4x4 rooftent
Some wind protection
4x4 lot is a couple meters down the street. Not the tent place
Report Check-InCamped in camper van area. 150 per person. A quiet and comfortable night considering how hectic town was. Good showets, friendly staff.
Report Check-InWanted 120 per person when the sign outside said 100 for camping. After we had filled in our details the receptionist then informs us it's also 50 for a vehicle. Pricey and poor customer service. We didn't stay.
Report Check-InNice camping! Heated bathroom, hot shower, clean, good resto, internet didn't work on our phone. 100 pesos/person
Report Check-InCamping com boa estrutura, banhos quentes e aceitam cachorros. Pagamos PA 120,00 mais 50,00 pelo estacionamento para o carro.
Report Check-In110p per person plus 50 vehicle charge and no charge for our 5 year old (270p for us). We stayed at niriguao one night (250p because they have a kid charge) then moved here. More professional facilities like really hot water even at outdoor sinks, great water pressure, toilet paper and soap, Wifi decent. Tradeoff is more noise. Campers stay in parking lot but get assigned a table/bench/grill/power site...you can ask for the one next to your vehicle. Better for dog owners too...the other place asked for dog to be leashed all the time.
Report Check-InGood showers. Space for camper vehicles is quite limited. Good location if you want to stay in town as you can walk into center in five minutes. Pricey at AP300 for one night. Wifi has average speed but goes slow when people come in late afternoon and evening.
Report Check-Incentrally located, hot showers, heated ablutions, bbq spots, restaurant, wifi only at reception
