Latest Check-Ins

As described. $30 per night through recreation.gov. Showers are now $5 for 10 minutes. They are completely individual rooms so it’s easy for 2 people to share and save some $$$$. Loop B and part of loop A are generator free. Sites are quite open to each other. The nights we stayed, there were some very smoky campfires blowing directly to our site which was annoying but just bad luck I guess.

Report Check-In

For those camping during the off season - the park has 4 campgrounds, there is a sign at the entrance to skyline drive with the open campgrounds and their vacancy. Big meadows was one of the only campgrounds in the area open in November. Don’t follow Apple Maps trying to take you around skyline drive to get there, there are directions on the website.

Price is now $30. Dry camping, big rig in many pull through sites.
OTA TV, strong. Very week cell.

Pretty nice campground. Not super private but not super close together either. Bathrooms are clean, but showers are part of the lodge next door so they charge $2.50 for 5 minutes. Very clean though, and very hot. Firewood was very expensive $7.30 plus tax for about 4-5 pieces. Also the nightly rates have gone up to $30 per night. No hookups available. Dump station and drinking water available but only at dump station and a few taps around the campground. Opens March 28th

I didn't actually stay the night, but wanted to update that it's now $30 per night! and showers are up to $2.50 for 7min. There's a change machine on site and laundry (I didn't check the cost of laundry). Since it's the off-season, only the showers in the bathroom were open (they have plenty more next to the bathroom) and they looked pretty nice.

6/10 . Some of the sites have a nice view of the valley, E loop was pretty. Sites were on top of one another and bathrooms pretty run down and dirty. 20 for primitive site walk up only. Showers were 1.50 for a couple minutes but looked pretty dirty. Nicely located in the park though and it has over 200 sites
