Latest Check-Ins

we stayed 2 nights and loved it. beautiful staff saw many many rhinos, even a black one and a leopard. did the rhino trekking which was a great experience.

Report Check-In

Okay but nothing special. The sites are okay, but expect staff to just come wandering straight through. The ablutions are a... okay. And although they have a bar and restaurant it is a drive away from the camp site, so be sure to have everything you need.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, private camping spots under trees. Ablutions OK. Hot showers. Have been using Khama Rhino Sanctuary as a convenient stop-over for years. Wi-fi at restaurant. Rhino now under 24hr armed guard.

Report Check-In

MOTORCYCLES WARNING: The access to campgrounds and chalets is deep sand, 2km from the main entrance.

Report Check-In

when we were there the ablutions were perfectly clean and the mega hot shower felt like paradise! the campsites are really nice with running water, brai, bin... what do you want more?! totally recommended !

Report Check-In

Sorry guys, but this is just below standards. Run down I can handle, but dirty ablutions not.

Report Check-In

Campsite 1 large & isolated, nearby Ablutions. Hot shower. Water closets. Big shade trees. OK for big rig.

Road noise from tar road not so nice. Water & fire pit/braai on site.

Self drive or Game drive @ BWP440 pp.

Report Check-In

Stayed for 2 nights at campsite 6. We saw a bushbaby at this site, too! Nice site, near one of the ablutions with hot shower and ok water pressure. Campsites have privacy as there are bushes and some space between the sites. Ablution was ok and pretty clean, no complaints there. The sanctuary itself is small, so it’s very easy to see the rhinos when driving around. They don’t have many black rhinos, so you’re lucky if you see one. You’ll mostly see the white rhinos. Also zebras, kudus, elands, impala, giraffes, jackals, etc. Saw 1 leopard, too. Nice place in general, though, with friendly staff, so we were happy to support them by staying inside the sanctuary. 1130 pula total for 2 nights for 2 persons and a car.

Report Check-In

We stayed for two nights in the converted Manager’s Residence, which was a break from camping. Basic but clean and affordable. Had cooking facilities, bathroom, hot water, drinkable water. Saw loads of rhino, which was very special, on self drive. Very soft sand and the 4x4 was needed. Good to support this facility and the protection of rhinos against meaningless bloodshed, all for the sake of compacted hair going into far east traditional medicine. When you visit here you’ll see how completely beautiful this animal is.

Report Check-In

How terrible dirty an ablution building can be without water, without flushing toilets. And no water on the campsite.

Report Check-In

Decent camping - large spaces (incl. water and decent ablations but no electricity/ wifi). Great to be in first thing for game drives - Rhino but also giraffes, springbok, zebra, wildebeest, etc. can be spotted. 2ppl 500plu for camping + entrance fee.

Report Check-In

We had campsite 5. Nice site. No water at all in ablutions but someone came around to tell us. Stayed for one night only. Nice and quiet. Saw a rhino in the thicket soon after leaving camp on way to waterhole. We were a bit late so didnt see much else. May be worth a return visit.

Report Check-In

We camped for just 1 night at no 11, huge stand with plenty of shade. We were entertained with various birds. Clean ablutions, hot water. Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

We have heard so much about this place and it’s our first stop on our grand adventure. We finally found our campsite- #9 and spent the evening looking at the stars and taking pics of the moon behind the baobab trees. The ablutions are a bit tired but they were very clean and the water was hot! Our campsite is spacious and there is a bin and a BBQ & a fire pit & a tap. It looks like they have had a lot of rain - the bush is really thick. Tomorrow morning we shall visit the pans and then it’s off to Lekhubu Island for 2 nights. It’s sooooo quiet other than the night-jars and the owls.

Report Check-In

Well, the campground was disappointing. OK, the sites are really big, some nice trees. Distance to the ablutions is quite far, and nobody spent a thought what could be necessary or important for a camper - for eg, in one shower 8 hooks for clothings, in the other 0 hooks. No mirror, not even a place to put your belongings while brushing your teeth. Basin for laundry, but no place for parking the laundry while you change water and so on. For what the camp offers, the price is very high, we paid around 560 pula 2 pax 1 car. OK, it's all for the rhinos, but nevertheless we had good sightings and are really happy for that, our feeling is that everything has been established because it had to be established, and nothing more. Same with the road signs and the logic of roads in the park, lot to learn from Kruger, we were lost several times. Next time we'd come back as a day visitor and rather stay at another place.

Report Check-In

Campsite 3 is lovely and close to the ablution block with good facilities. Clean and convenient with a place to do laundry. Awesome sightings of black and white rhinoceroses at Malema Pan at sunset.

Report Check-In

Campsites are really nice. No electricity at any of the sites.

Camp 9 is the best as it’s large, open, and easily access to the ablutions. Some of the sites you’ll have to walk down quite overgrown paths to the ablutions and there is wildlife all around.

Ablutions (as others have mentioned) is not kept clean and Lakota of lights not working.

Sightings of rhinos, eland, zebra, impala, warthog, large kudu, etc at the watering holes.

Kudus and warthog around the camp site.

We paid around 565 pula for two per night.

April weather is sunshine, but a chilly wind does blow so bring warm clothing for the evenings.

Report Check-In

Paid 565 pula for 2 persons incl. car per night. We stayed at campsite 9 which was very nice. Ablutionblock was pretty dirty when we arrived and only limited numbers of lights working. We asked to clean ablutions and change lights, what they did promptly. Nice animal spotting in bushes. Make sure you dont get lost in park, as road signs are partly missing or not readable.

Report Check-In

We stayed on Campsite 4, which is a bit too close to the electricity line and transformer that is humming all the time which spoils the natural sounds. Would prefer campsites 1 or 2 or 7-13 next time. Otherwise a really nice spot, with shade during the day, lots of birds in the morning.

Report Check-In

Really nice campsite. We had A1 and we liked it. For our big rig it was not a problem to drive there and then we did a gamedrive from the park, so we avoided to scrached our truck.

Report Check-In

Campsites are really nice and secluded, very big sites surrounded by trees with braai and water. Ablutions bit run down, usable but need better cleaning and some maintenance. We came here for the rhinos obviously but got so much more! Lots of rhinos, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, oryx, hartebeest, springbok, impala, ostrich, eland, waterbuck and a pregnant leopard a few meters from the campsite! Price (camp 2 pers and car + park entrance) = 515 pula.

Report Check-In

Very nice and big campsites with Braii, Water and a shady tree. Ablutions very clean, nice hot showers. Price now 515 Pula 2 people with car, Entrance Fee and Camping.

Report Check-In

Each campsite has it own deisgnated area with its own water tap and bbq which was nice. Our campsite was under a beautiful large tree which gave loads of shade. The abolutions were clean with great showers and maybe only a few min walk from our campsite.

In the morning we drove around the reserve and saw a large group of rhinos, zebras and a few warthogs.

Lovely stop over for a night.

Entrance and camping fee: 515 pula for 2 & our car

Report Check-In

Beautiful treed campsites. Ablutions ok. Great fillet steak at restaurant! Expensive campsite but for a great cause

Report Check-In

We paid for an Unimog Camper with more than 5 ton 721 Pula almost 65 Euro for one night camping 2 people. This is just too expensive! It seems Botswana is developing into a luxury high end tourist destination and overlanders are not welcome here. Going to South Africa and Namibia with a truck never caused any inflated prices and is so much cheaper! Service was rather unfriendly map has to be bought extra. On the positive side, this place does allow self drive. Camping sites are large and nice, clean, shady. Ablutions and showers are clean work well. We saw 6 Rhinos and a lot of other game, Eland, Impala, Thomson, Hartebest, Ostrich, Oryx, Zebra .... Roads are very narrow and with any vehicle wider and higher than a standard 4wd expect to get lots of scratches from bushes along the road.

Report Check-In

Uploaded a picture with the price list from 2018, WIFI available in and around Restaurant.
Campground very beautiful and idylic but ablutions horrible. Not clean and the light didn't work and there are no windows so you have to go to the toilet and shower in nearly darkness and the mosquitos will wait for you there and eat you up.

Report Check-In

Awesome Place to see the endangered Rhinos. We saw several Whites Rhinos and at least one Black Rhino. The Black one was hanging around at the Campsite and got as close as 5m to us. Awesome! Campground is nice and everything as stated below. Ablutions a bit far away from the large, separated Parcels. Also paid 480 P Entrance Fee and Camping (2 Persons with Car).

Report Check-In

Day visit is 157.30 pp, car 96.80. We saw 5 white rhinos, including a baby one. Not much other wildlife, but you can see that elsewhere. You definitely need 4x4 due to the deep sand.

Report Check-In

Very nice Campsites at the Resort. the ablution was ok, but a little bit far away , so that you have to look out for wild animals, but it was funny. The Trees there are amazing and we did 3 gamedrives in the 2 days and saw many of White Rhinos, Giraffes, Elands, Kudus, Gnus and at lot of beautiful birds at the "Bird Hide " We had a great time here... the roads are very sandy , but with our Unimog we had no problems to drive there- it was a great experience !

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 1 night. Great individual campsites with shared ablutions which are clean and well maintained. Showerheads very low! No rhino in camp unfortunately but I saw at least 20 (white) rhinos during game drives so no complaints here. :-)
I arrived in early afternoon and went gamedriving straight away. it's a small park so you can easily drive around the entire area in a few hours. Next morning I did another tour. Campsites must be left before 10 am and the park before midday. So plenty of time to see the whole park. Map of the park costs extra but t4a works great also. Campsites have standpipe, campfirepit and braai table. All well maintained. I paid in total 288 p for 1 person, 1 night with 1 car. including park fees.

Report Check-In

Campsite was full but we were allowed to camp at a nice site behind the education centre (EEC) for the same rate.
There are toilets and cold showers but beautiful space.
At 10pm at black Rhino surprised us at the fire and wandered around the camp and fed for about an hour before he disappeared again.
We've been then rudely awakened by a massive shaking of Matatu at 6am - the rhino was back and found Matatu suitable to scratch himself.
The guards told us laughing that the bull is called Naughty and is famous for rubbing his horn on vehicles!

480P for two, including park and vehicle fee

Report Check-In

Nice Big camping spots in Bush.Hot water , ablutions could have been cleaned more. Would have stopped longer but flies & mosquitoes a pest . Good views of Rhinos on game drive. Very deep sandy tracks around park & to campsite..very good community run park & efforts protecting Rhino. They have a restaurant & pool but did not visit. Chalets also available that look nice .

Report Check-In

480 for the park fees and one night camping for two people. Over 30 rhinos here and we saw loads. CAmp sites are huge and spaced out. Ablutions fine!

Report Check-In

Nice place to see Rhino's and a lot of other animals. Wouldn't pitch up my dome tent here, a rhino was banging our car at night for a few minutes!

Report Check-In
