great campground, toilets and a dumpster. free reservation required. don't come in late, the camp host made that clear after we came home from working one night.

A great free campground, with running toilets. Plenty of room to spread out and not be too close to any other campers. Would recommend if you just need to get out. There are also some nearby trails for simple walking. Camp host was very cordial. Good cell signal, T-Mobile.

Beautiful open area, we stayed in the open where our solar was great, was hot but a beautiful breeze and shade from under the awning made it awesome. Would definitely go back here again, can fit any size, just apply online.

Great free camping if you can get a spot under the trees! No showers but clean flush bathrooms. Well maintained area. Must register at least 24 hours prior to arrival!

wonderful location. I'm so happy to find this location on my journey because I was unsure if these fairgrounds even really existed in Florida. the camp host asked me for my registration and I showed him on my phone that I tried but it was not working. so he helped me reserve my spot for the next day and allowed me to stay for the night. also shared helpful apps and info with me. happy travels !!

Lake Panasoffkee Wildlife Management Area, Wildwood, Florida. Primitive Camping here as well. Both spots managed by the SW FL Water Management District. On the way here I found potable water at the Webster Fairgrounds and dumped for free. Stocked up on supplies and got propane at a Love's. All refreshed! Love finding Fairgrounds. Just kinda went in and did what I needed to do and left. Noone was there, completely empty. No fuss.

Anyway, this spot is nice too. Free. 7 day consecutive day stay/30 max. Permit/online registration required. Big rig friendly. Equestrian camp as well, non potable water, picnic tables and fire rings at most spots. About 30 spots in all. Some with nice shade in a separate area, some are in an open field and great for solar. Friendly camp host. Spots are big. Spread out nicely. Camp is opened up nicely and allows a nice breeze. Lots of open grassy areas to walk your dog and let them run if no one around. Very clean and well maintained. Access road is hard pack sand/gravel and pretty smooth.

Data is serviceable. May be slowed down due to weekend congestion. VZW clocks in at 9 mbps down/6 up. OTA antenna is bringing in about 10 HD channels.

Great free spot. Will be here through next Tuesday, then back to the Green Swamp. My upgraded battery for my solar is in, so hoping to get it installed ASAP and I can get going back west.

Lake Panasoffkee itself is a shallow spring fed lake and covers 4,800 acres. It's known for great largemouth bass fishing. The Wildlife Management Area is about 9,000 acres with many miles of trails used for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking. Nice area!

So beautiful! Sites in the wooded area have a picnic table, fire pit and BBQ. There’s also nearby water spickets. The sites in the equestrian area are basically in an open field, but with water hookups (untested well water) and some picnic tables. It’s gorgeous. There’s bathrooms which we didn’t check out. Nearby trails and canoeing mustn't be too far, considering the area is a lake. The reservations are made online and an instant reply should be received via email. If not, feel free to call - they are so nice. We can’t believe this is free! Two thumbs up!

Nice and calm spot. It's free but you need to book it online. Picnic tables, water spigots (non potable) all over. Pit toilet just on the entrance.
It was pretty empty (around 10 vehicles) but we parked next to guys with very, but very loud generator (aaaaa). After 1hour
or torture we moved away from them. Luckily this place is big enough to find quiet spot.

Nice campground. Primitive area has lots of shade and will fit most rigs. Equestrian area is basically a big open field, with very little shade. There are water faucets thought both areas. Have to make a reservation. My biggest complaint about this WMD location is it is quite busy. Much busier then other locations we have been, but maybe just bad timing on our part. There are 13 vehicles in the Equestrian area and about 14+ in the primitive area. ATT works well.
