I pay 35 dollar per month for my 1987 russian van. it's a 1 year contract but you can cancel anytime. i decided to pay 6 months in advance as I got 8 percent discount. just walk in. process took a bit over an hour and I paid by credit card

We have a USA plated car and they offered 1800 A peso per month, no discount for 6 month or even 1 year policy. So this place was more expensive and the only positive being that you could use your foreign credit card here. We decided to use Roby Speiser with Allianz, see my entry there.

Nearly the only insurance in buenos aires left for foreign car insurance and when you don't have an address of residence here. 40 euro/m, including argentina, chili, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru. Also assistance during car breakdown!

Others like: caja, la holanda and san cristobal aren't offering any insurances for foreign vehicles anymore. Allianz and casa central are more expensive.
