Latest Check-Ins

Came back for second stay here. Last time was November 2023. This place is currently undergoing renovation with. construction of new sites. I wonder if the rates will go up significantly.

Report Check-In

Follow signs to Museum to check in, not at the campground-Signs are not clear. Very nice location with beautiful rock formations. Will definitely return!

Made reservation on-line for this public campground, that I believe is owned by the county, in Dine nation. The facility is old, but very clean and quiet. Was able to get a “dry camp” — no water option for just $13! It appears that there are some longer- term residents here, that keep the area quiet.

Report Check-In

Quietest populated campground I've ever experienced in a year of full time RVing. I arrived at 8pm on Thursday and everyone was silent through the night. Only one loose, healthy, very sweet dog that my dogs loved. Sites are first come first served. I called to make a reservation but no one answered all day so I made the reservation online, after hours, on very short notice (2 hours) same day. No hassles.

Good place if you just need a quiet, safe place.
We were tent camping and just had our truck.
Costs under $14 for us. We called the phone number off the website from google maps.
The lady was very helpful. The Red Rocks that you are nestled by look very fun to explore and are quite beautiful.
A few heads-ups from our stay:
-There are ant hill/holes. Before you set up a tent or set out a lounge chair, check your site. Luckily we had the option of two sites. One had them, the other right next to it did not.
-I recommending bringing your own TP to the restroom. There was very little between both stalls(men’s). There is more than one restroom area for the camp though.
-If you are looking for secluded camping,
go somewhere else. You are next to a bunch of RV’s and the road noise is noticeable. It didn’t bother us but it’s there. The site remained respectfully quiet at night.
It served our purposes of just somewhere to tent for the night.

Beautiful spot, the campground could be better maintained and is certainly muddy if it rains but showers were clean enough and water was warm. We arrived after 5pm and paid $13 ( without electricity) in the morning, office was not open but there’s a drop box . No Hwy noise and could barely hear the train. Sites have water and electricity, didn’t see a dump
Station.

$13 dollar per night for dry camping (10 more for electricity). Free showers, toilets, and wifi. Picnic tables and dumpstation. Lots of RVs, but with our tent definitely possible and good soil for the hearings. Nearby big city for shopping. Check in after opening hours (1700h) possible when online reserving or cash in an envelope. just note that you need keys for the toilets and showers which you cannot get then unless you see the park owners around.

For the West campground-Hot showers, incredible cell service for ATT, Verizon, and TMobile. We paid for two nights but stayed over a week and no one bothered us because we were the only people here. Two really cool hikes within walking distance of the campground.

$22/night, No office, must pay to get key to restrooms, which automatically lock when shut. Got in at 8pm on Saturday and campground was 3/4 full and silent. No sign of a host or ranger so no bathrooms for us. There is a lot of trash around everywhere and fire rings are small and not well maintained. Train and Rt 40 sound was ambient and nice to sleep to actually. Dogs run wild around the campground so they poop everywhere and come to beg for food.
This was one of the few places we could find as we drove 40 east to put up our roof top tent. It was safe enough to sleep at night, and beautiful scenery but this is a TERRIBLE campground, as far as campgrounds go.

$25 a night for electric and water hookups. there are open spots or you can make a reservation on their website. you can dry camp for $12 in any spot. 37' trailer fit no problem. Didn't use the showers at the camp but the wifi was excellent. We watched Netflix and did homeschooling with no problems. dump is available and easy to get in and out of. A great hike is right in the campground, which was really nice.

Price has been raised $3. Check in at Park Office to pay & pick any spot open. They give you the shower key when you pay.

Behind Post Office (next to campground) is a dump site — free, no fees stated anywhere. Beautiful park and views with hiking trails nearby. Magical & majestic! Easy in and out & could accommodate large RV’s. Pull through. Great little stop!

Report Check-In

we did not like the place, noises from Highway and the trains, primitive campesite is not marked, many whole time campers, few wild dogs

Report Check-In

It’s best to call ahead to reserve a spot, but we just drove off the interstate and there were a couple spots open. Very peaceful campground. Friendly campers. You need a paid reservation to get a bathroom/shower key but another camper lent us his key. The ranger comes around in the morning to get late arrival fees. There’s at least one (friendly) stray dog who seems to live here. We are only staying one night but the hiking looks wonderful.

Nice campground with many longtimers on it. Excellent Wifi! Good for a few days!
Train noises may be loud during the night, depending on the wind.

All as described but fast wifi as well. No password required

Really nice campground with hot showers . Situated in the shadow of huge, red cliffs. $10 per night without hookups, $22 per night with electric and water.

Nice park, flat, good size rv spots, trees. Beautiful hiking trail to Church Rock. No wifi, but sites have power and water hook ups. Sign in,$22 w hookups, at museum[which is nice and free].

Great spot, we paid $10 but $22 for full hook ups. Checking in was a bit confusing, the office was closed. Pick a spot and county worker will come before 8pm to collect and give you a bathroom key. Nice hot showers, no wifi, museum and great hiking trail.
