The first and (according to the ranger) most important information we received at the information centre was, that overnight stays on Peninsula Valdes are only allowed in Puerto Piramides. All other sites are against the rules.
Report Check-InWe stayed two nights on the hill during Christmas and left for the day to see animals in the park. There were many locals camping with tents so the end of the road was already a parking area (you can get there with a normal 2wd just take the way on the far left) but the hill is a great spot we had to ourselves. Only on the second day there was a lot of wind. Place is great for walking the dog before and after a long day on the peninsula. Argentinians here brought their dogs with them too.
Report Check-InWe camped right before the hill to get a view of the beach and cliffs. Wonderful spot, highly recommended, and very secluded. Lots of bath tissue over the hill, remember to pack out or bury!
Report Check-InWe followed the road over the hill past the first Playa Villarino point in iOverlander (hi-clearance and 4WD would be helpful) and camped at the East end of the road. Had the place to ourselves and there was no garbage around. Nice view.
