Hospedaje Consuelo
$600 pesos for 2 people private double bed w/ bathroom (toilet runs well and shower is cold water). Spacious, but very rustic and very simple. Owners seem nice. We were able to pull our truck into the hotel gated compound which was a huge bonus. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, waterfront, etc.

price has gone up significantly since the last post. we were charged 600mxp per night for a double bed with private bathroom and they were unwilling to go down on this. we stayed anyway because I was sick that day and needed fast access to a bathroom! place was reasonably clean, decent wifi, aircon. shower pressure was poor and cold. had a shared kitchen that we made breakfast in, could be cleaner but our van was secure in their car park. could probably fit 3m clearance comfortably.

You get what you pay for here, but the price was right for us in Bacalar, especially with secure parking and decent wifi!
