A nice quiet Campground with a lot of feral cats. Hookups and dispersed, primitive camping.

Stayed one night as we passed thru town. Happened to get one of the last spots available. paid via the envelope drop box at the entrance, so I was able to avoid the "reservation fee"
Report Check-Inperfect place with full hookup.
An access to the lake is perfect for canoeing.
Not a place for hike.
Peaceful, empty, hot.
Tuesday is quiet, no one around. I can't work out the options for primitive camping but found areas to the left of the boat ramp. High huge open parking area, walk to the lake, swim. Repeat.
I'll walk around later and report back on the dirt roads.
I'm in a 2wd van with 2 dogs, solo.
Stayed here one night. It was $14 + $4 tax so $18 per night. Included electricity and water spigot. Not a big fan of paid campgrounds and sure enough a family of like 12 came in and was loud till at least 2:30 AM. I Decent enough campsite with shelters and metal picnic table, the fire pits for each site in the Appaloosa section. The showers were locked due to Covid. 2-3 bars of AT&T. Not much shade as the scattered trees are young/short. Did not notice a campground store, but maybe there is one I don’t know
Report Check-InCampground is currently closed due to Covid-19, but the lake is open for day-use.

Report Check-InThere are a few different areas to camp with hookups, if you need them. They have covered picnic tables and grills, as well. I stumbled upon the primitive camping area when I went to check out the boat ramp. There’s a little bit hidden road just to the left as you get in the parking area. Head down that road and there are plenty of spots to call your own. Only $8 a night, without an annual pass. No designated spots, but there are vault toilets not too far away, and dumpsters for your trash. I stayed two nights, leaving only because the temps were climbing, otherwise, I’d stay to enjoy the walks, scenery, lake and amazing views.
