Something not right?

Description

These guys put our new 4 spring leaves in just a couple of hours and charged us 600 pesos for the work which was impeccable! Our rig is so high above the ground now, we couldn't be happier! :)
Angel is the one in charge, he is super nice, honest and hardworking.
If you need new suspension or brakes, this is your place! These guys know what they're doing and they're super fast.
You can get the parts in the shop in the corner, DTS Autopartes (also added here).
100% recommended!

We needed to change our oil, had our own oil (Walmart is cheaper than AutoZone fyi) and filter, just needed a drain pan and disposal. Asked these guys and they said no problem! No charge, gave them a beer as a thanks. No English but we had a laugh at my poor Spanish. Good guys.

We needed extra leaf springs. It cost us 2000 pesos for 4 springs from the store nearby.
Labour cost us 1700 pesos for 4 hours. I think it was a overpriced compared to people who previously got service done here. Good work and happy with the results but the cost was not expected.

We came here to have our wheel bearings replaced, along with a component of our steering column. They quoted us 700$pesos. They started working on our VW Bus right away. We went to the shop next door to buy the parts. It took them about 4 hours, they work really well. When it was time to pay, they asked us for 850$. We said no and gave them 700$. They agreed and we fist bumped. We recommend them.

Report Check-In

110% recommendable. We needed f/r brake pads, steering arm problem, and oil/filter change done. He initially quoted 250 labour for f/r brake pads change and the oil/filter change - we supplied the parts (oil/filter previously purchased at auto zone but additional parts can be bought on the same road at DTS auto parts which seemed a super busy recommendable parts shop).

We were there around 1pm and he offered to check straight away the steering and quoted labour in full 900. We returned later as we had to drop a friend off and had one more garage to visit. The boys said as long as we were back in the garage by 3pm they could so the work the same day. We returned at 2pm and it was ready by 6:30 (closes at 7/8pm weekdays and until 4pm Saturdays).

These guys were amazing, we'd had horrific experiences with mechanics in Mexico and Nicaragua but these guys were professional, honest, helpful, attentive and quick. Couldn't recommend them enough! They even had the boss inspect the rear brakes and give his judgement that they definitely didn't need replacing despite our insistence (based on a bogus previous garage who told they should be replaced a few thousand miles beforehand). Anyhow - they insisted around another 20k kms wear.

We felt really confident using these mechanics. Definitely worth passing by if you need mechanical help in San Cristo. Francisco was the main guy fixing our car but all the guys are great guys.
