Buen lugar.

We arrived to this place to discover that what once was a great spot is no longer accessible.

Sign states that entry is forbidden and signs redirect to a paid parking lot.

Slept here one night. As described by other. Beautiful place. Even on Saturday quiet at night, the first visitors however arrive early in the morning. Biting black flies.

RV Sprinter Van 7.0. Passamos um dia e uma noite. Lugar bem tranquilo para passar a noite. Fomos premiados com a lua cheia. Iluminava bastante o Vulcão Osorno. Lugar maravilloso. Recomendo aos amigos viajantes.

Report Check-In

We stayed the night before a hike. Good place to camp but with millions of annoying black flies. Very nice view to volcano osorno!

Report Check-In

Nice place in the night when hundreds of people left! Overcrowded on weekends!

Report Check-In

as described by others. Unfortunately in January there are of insects, large and black. their molest you forever. a little less in the parking. this thing and unnerving.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Very busy during the day, but very peaceful at night. We parked near the bushes so the wind wasn’t a problem.

Report Check-In

2 nights without any trouble apart from the numerous black flies when it's sunny. a lot of other campers and not many flat spaces but it was fine. toilets (200p) at the ferry dock a bit further.

Report Check-In

Windy but great views. Be sure to stay before the yellow pole line, we were sent away, other cars got fined.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place... View on volcanos and the lake... Really quiet at night and no need a four wheel drive !! When we went there it was a bit windy but ok :) also have a wifi at the petrohue lodge password is P3trohu3 !!

Report Check-In

Sand parking lot close to the lake suitable to stay at night in our camper. No services.

Report Check-In

Good spot to spend the night. Free and no services.

Report Check-In

Nice free parking lot on the lake which is quiet in the night. But there are not a lot of level places. And there is still a lot of ashes from the eruption of volcano Calbuco in 2015. So it looks a little bit like a big sandy construction site at the moment.

Report Check-In

actually went into the park and pitched our tent in a spot away from the beach and nestled in the woods.
we were bicycling and got off the ferry from Peulla and walked our bikes of the ferry and to the camping spot.

There were people walking on the beach but we had a quiet night.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot on the Beach of Lago Todos los Santos. Very quiet, fantastic view on Volcan Osorno and Lago Todos los Santos. Embarcadero for boat tours on the lake. No services, bring food and water there is no shop in Petrohue.

Nice and free parking area at the lake. Possibilities for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Report Check-In

Lindo local, mas foi impossível ficar devido à grande quantidade e moscas (Tabanas da família das mutucas) que infestam esta área no verão.

Wonderfull place. But we didn’t stayed there because the amont of insets that happens on summer time.

Report Check-In

We stayed at the parking lot right in front of the camping grounds and were alone for the night. In the day, the other parking lot was really busy.
There was a strong wind and not much protection for our rooftop tent. Otherwise, good, quiet spot for the night.

Report Check-In

A very nice spot. We got advised by the CONAF people to be careful when it rains since the parking can easily be flooded. So just watch out where you park for the night.

Report Check-In

Pretty views and quiet. Right next to various trailheads. Free.

Report Check-In

Awesome lanscape and many place for vans. We loved this spot. Very quiet.

Report Check-In

Really great place next to the lake. Stunning scenery and sunset. Really quiet, only one car with locals smoking a cigarette. Some people passing by in the morning to do the hiking trail.

Report Check-In

Free parking on a gravel/packed sand beach as described in earlier posts. If you get the weather the views are superb. Site is mainly exposed but there are a few sheltered spots beside trees. No facilities.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to overnight and as base camp to do some hiking.
If you enter the tourist area, continue abt ⅔ of the ‘roundabout’ following the signs estationament gratis.
You will then enter a giant slope down to the lake. This is the free parking area.
Campering allowed, tenting not allowed.....
Est.Campground next to this place is closed for maintenance, already a year or so....

Report Check-In

One of the best, if not the best, place to camp! Stunning, breath-taking, surreal views of the mountains, lake, stars, and oh yeah, Volcan Osorno just right there!!! It was low season so nobody was around except us and another overlander, not even for the epic sunset! Crazy face! It was extremely quiet at night. Free public parking on the beach is spacious, so take your pick for camping. The sand is packed enough that you won't get stuck (our low-clearance 4WD has had back luck with sand, but not here). Must be due to the magic from the volcano.

Report Check-In

We stayed at the free parking area. Very pleasant view of the volcano and lake. A bit windy. Beautiful beach.

Report Check-In

Lake, beach, nice view, great spot.
I recommend the hike going north from here it is the beginning of "Paso Desolacion" especially the part called Rincon del Osorno.
At the moment there are annoying mini moskitos.

Report Check-In

Nice place by the lake, we were on our own. Very quiet off season. We recommend the saltos (6km) on the main road (ripio).

Report Check-In

Fine place for the night. Good views of the lake and quiet at night. Shame there is so much volcanic ash still piled up in great heaps after this long.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot to stay the night.

Report Check-In

Due to the eruption of Volcán Calbuco last April, ash covers the ground everywhere (over 1m of ash on average fell) and the campsite is closed for maintenance so we camped here in the parking lot. Fast wifi, dinner, drinks and bathrooms available in the Petrohué Lodge. Quiet and free.

Report Check-In

Great place. Nice and quiet at night. Following volcano eruption lot of sandy type ash which is soft in some places. Ask how we know!

Report Check-In

Free parking lot right next to Lago Todos Los Santos in Petrohue, spot was very beautiful and quiet with view to the lake and the vulcano Osorno, NP campground was closed so the ranger told us to camp on the free parking lot next to the lake, no facilities

Report Check-In

Camped in the free parking by the beach on the lake. Nice views of the volcano on one side and the lake on the other. There is an official campsite here and also a paid parking option. Fairly busy during the day. No facilities. Free.

Report Check-In

Lakefront parking place, where overlanders often spend the night. Lots of day trippers pass by, but quiet at night. No protection from wind whatsoever.

Very nice hikes along the foot of the volcano start nearby.
