Buen lugar para acampar, lo administra una amable familia, baños basicos, y limpios la mayoría del tiempo, durante el dia puede llegar familias, pero ambiente tranquilo en general. perros pequeños, solo ladran, no muerden.

Report Check-In

We wanted to go to the balneario sindicato semarnat but was so full of vans, the place didn't look nice, as the camping is on gravel and they asked 200pp for the night . We decided to come here!
full of grass and you can park on a flat area. We stayed here for one night, 100 pp. Rented kayak for 150 for 2hrs. The dogs are still there, even if they never came up to our van. If you walk to the entrance be carefull because they start bargain and they are pretty aggresive.

Report Check-In

This place was nothing for us. Ofc big enough, but not friendly and bad vibes. The dogs are barking during day, how must that be at night. We felt not welcoming. All a bit chaotic. After 2 h we left further south. The better street for a big rig is Calle Cerdo not 48, there is a tree.

Report Check-In

Cheap, pretty place, but their dogs are a serious problem.

Pros: Camping is cheap at 100mxn/person in an open field, bathrooms, and they let us plug in.

Cons: every time you leave your van, including to walk past the gate or to go to the bathroom you will be swarmed by 6 aggressive dogs. They are not friendly and do not keep a distance.

We like dogs, we’re traveling with a large dog, we’ve spent a year in Mexico and are used to Mexican dogs. We’re leaving because of the dogs here.

The place next door is much nicer, although it’s more expensive and it seems they change the price on a whim.

Report Check-In

The place is easy to reach via Calle 48 for large RVs. Staff is ok, the dogs are a bit toxic and bark every now and then at night. Little insects that it is right on the lake. You can also hear the main street at night. It wasn't full at the weekend. 100ppp, bathing in the lake, toilet and shower at the entrance to the family. Meadow by the lake, nothing special, lake view rarely everywhere, 1.5 km on foot in the village

Report Check-In

We stayed here for four nights and had no unwelcoming visitors of any sorts. We were there over the weekend but there were not too many day visitors - Sundays a few more. Overall a nice and certainly quiet stay. Yes, the owners or care takers are not talking or engaging much, but they were friendly when we talked to them. Bathrooms are cold showers only - given the heat that's not a problem - and while basic they were reasonable clean and were always equipped with toilet paper. Besides the area directly around the little hut were the family lives the campground is actually pretty clean and well kept. Definitely a good bargain for the 100P/night that they charge. And since the Buenavista place up north closed, this might be the only site left around the lake that is reasonably easy to access by big rigs.

Our second night/ day wasn‘t that good.

When we woke up, "Putas" was written on our car. Around noon a crazy guy came around and asked us about cigarettes & money. When we denied both, he became aggressive, insulted and even touched us. He act like he call his friends who would help him to „kill“ us?

He also touched various things in our camp and wanted to knock over a tree trunk to bring down our tarp. He formed a pistol with his fingers and pretended to shoot at us.

The owner didn't care when we told him - he gave us back our money and we left.

Report Check-In

Nice place! We enjoyed the cool winds at the water. Grassy Campground, lots of space. Shady and sunny spots.
Toilet and shower are okay - better than somewhere else.. we even had toilet paper and soap! ;D
Many mid-size dogs, but they were quiet at night.

Great great spot just near the laguna. It was so calm and quiet and peaceful with only the water and birds. Just perfect. We stayed 3 nights. The best is to drive to the end of the path and there are some spots to park directly by the water. It can get a bit crowded during the week-end with Mexican families but they leave around 5/6pm and we were alone all night and next morning and during week days (people mainly don't come that far). One toilet and shower by the entrance (quite dirty though at the end of the day). We paid 100pp.

Report Check-In

Big open grassy field with trees this is very large Campground it goes back further than you think the best area for rigs is right by the gate in the field

Report Check-In

Good spot for a good price, 100pp, showers and toilet, not very talking people but it was ok.

It’s now 100 pesos per person, lots of room, telcel coverage, dog friendly it’s okay for a stop or if you have a very large vehicle. The owners are not very talkative, not overly friendly but not horrible either. You pay your money and that’s it 😉 they keep the place clean and they also have 3 small/medium size dogs which are friendly with people and other dogs.

Report Check-In

Location is very wide and offers lot of space for all size of rigs. Toilet and cold showers are very basic, but clean. Price is negotiable, owner asked for 200 pesos, we agreed upon 150 peso/night.

Report Check-In

A large really nice place directly at the lagoon with open grassy areas and also shade under the trees. You can swim in the lagoon. Toilet and showers are basic but ok. There is water to fill your tank and trash cans.
The owners are friendly but don’t talk very much. 100$ per person
We stayed 2 nights and felt very comfortable and safe.

Report Check-In

Slept one night here. Big place with a lot of grass just in front of the laguna.

Report Check-In

As described nice and quiet place Basic toilet but so beautiful to have a swim at the lacuna 200pesos 2p with a car

Report Check-In

Big grassy area so lots of room to park even big rigs. Also tents. Right on the lake! The bathroom and shower are very basic and so clean. We paid $100pp. There are dogs on the premises that tend to guard all night long! Other than that it’s quiet. Quiet a walk to town. If you have a smaller rig (as in under 2m70) we like it better at jardin de Venus (also on overlander) and they charge $120pp.

Report Check-In

We asked for the price for the night for our RV of 21ft, the very unpleasant manager, he was thinking the price for a while, as if he did not know the prices, or maybe he wanted to charge each person a different price. He asked us $ 180, but the price went up in a few days. We did not like the person. We went to the campsite next door, Balneario SEMARNAT union, it is more beautiful and has palapas, besides being cheaper.

Report Check-In

100 MXN/person/night, nice place with trees for shade. No wifi.

A beautiful, huge terrain.
Price now 150 pesos for camping

Report Check-In

Same thing. Nice place, just add plenty of shadow and firewood. Officially you just can spend the day ($15pp) not sleep, but Pablo (the caretaker) said it was ok.

Report Check-In

Same thing. We were told that officially you cannot camp here, just to spend the day at

Report Check-In

We didn't stay here but we inquired about storing our van for one month while we traveled out of country. We offered USD $100 for one month of storage and they accepted. The owner lives on site. Large grassy area for parking. In the end, we chose to leave the van in Chetumal, but I was relieved that we had this option as a back-up.

Report Check-In
