Description

Just an amazing spot next to the Laguna Verde. Incredible views of everything! One of our top 3 spots in this 2.5 years. It’s located in a small road that leaves to the Laguna. It’s not forbidden to drive on this road so we think there’s no problem to overnight here for 1 night with an RV. But please, don’t leave any garbage or everything here.

Beautiful place. It is definitely not allowed to camp here just so you know.

What to say about this place? Incredible! Our best so far.. We found ourselves alone in the middle of this giant and impressive nature. However, it was extremely windy when we arrived in the evening. But very mild in the morning.

We entered the park via the south, around 9 p.m. The Conaf guards had already left, and the barrier was open.

The Sierra Nevada Trail (12km return) from Conguillo Park is worth it!

Incredible place. Beautiful view and access to the lake for swimming and boat. Several gravel paths are possible. Respect this place that is preserved waste.

Perfect spot and location, you can set up your van just at the lakeside. Incredible view on the volcano, lake and mountains.

We loved this spot! The view on the volcano Llaima is great. After 7 PM we were all alone! The ducks were our only neighbors. We didn't ask if we could stay here, but no one asked us to leave, just be respectful of the place 😉

This spot is beautiful but we asked the park rangers about staying here and they said it is not allowed. The only place overlanding vehicles are allowed to spend the night is the parking lot next the administration building on lago conguillio

Beautiful place (maybe one of the best in this 6 month traveling)... Prepare your camera!! Quiet and safe...

Very nice place next to the lake. Beautiful views to the volcano. Really quite in night, couple of people in evening. Little bit windy in the evening.

Report Check-In

This place should be lovely if the weather is good, which was not our case (windy and rainy night and morning).
We missed the volcano during the Sierra Nevada trekk and here, such a shame.
Few tourists, last left at around 8pm, and only one other van.
Accessible for non 4wd.

Very quiet place, spent 2 nights here, some people in the day. couple of vans in the night but enough space to have privacy. Great views on the lake and volcano. cold and windy.

Beautiful spot with view to the volcano. We asked for authorization to spend the night there for free and there was no problem. You cannot make fire or smoke in the area but using gas is fine. Very windy though.

Nice place to camp and to fish just facing the volcano. Very quiet even on Saturday night.

Spectakular views of Volkano Llaima. Many level spots to choose from. A place to enjoy. 🌋.Very quiet at night.

Beautiful spot. Not many other travellers by the lake overnight. Lovely sunset and sunrise. 4x4 better to get to some of the spots further into the lake, but can be done in cars.

Absolutely freezing though so wrap up warm!!

Report Check-In

There are several tracks going down from the Laguna road to plenty of beautiful spots. Around 20:00 the last tourist are leaving and we had it on our own. Nobody bothering except for a colony of very colorful but extreme noise ducks which disturb you the whole night. If you can handle that you are fine!

You can make nice long time enlightenment pictures of the volcano in the middle of the night since it is still almost snow covered and the moon was up:-).
