This is a calm unique place with welcoming hosts. Very clean, good facilities, kitchen to share, nice palapa to have a cool stay! Enrique gave us a tour through his fruitgarden which is so nice and gets even better with the growing. we had good chats and visiting his store is worth to have a coffee and Cookies and get some tipps for the ruins.... we recommend it highly!

An amazing host and place to stay near Altun Ha ruins! We met Enrique at the stores by the ruins, where he runs his café and store. He has some cool stickers at the store! Also good Wi-Fi both at the store and at his Chateau. Everything is clean and organized and Enrique shares cools stories with the hosts. He has an amazing garden and nice fruit. We even got gifted a delucious coconut! Highly recommended for the facilities and hosting.

Enrique was a delight to speak with, at his shop beside the entrance to the ruins. Absolutely a perfect spot to camp out, and enjoy the ruins at your leisure. Hopefully we can visit again next winter!

Very memorable stay. We showed up without a reservation, and Enrique and Brittany were still very welcoming. Enrique prefers at least a day’s notice and you can reach him on WhatsApp at +501 623-8656. Price was 20 BZD for 2 adults/1 child. Enrique took us on a tour around his wonderful property, where he is growing a wide variety of local plants. We got to taste a custard apple, which was like dessert! That evening, Enrique drove us in his vehicle to have dinner at a nearby street food eatery. We loved getting to know and his partner, Brittany, and learning more about the culture of Belize. The bathroom is located in their home, but it worked. The rule was if the door was closed, the bathroom was occupied. This place is right by the Altun Ha ruins, which makes it a perfect place to get an early start in the cool of the day. We recommend.

Oh what a special find. Just as described by others this stop is a must. Enrique is an amazing host opening his home up to you and
teaches you about his garden and the area around you.
We came with a 27ft RV and he made room for us on the outside of the fence but it was safe and the little gate was next to us so we could get to the showers and the garden.

Enriques place is perfect for visiting Altun Ha. He proudly gave us a tour of his property and gave us information on the local plants that he is cultivating. He told us that wifi should be available soon , in the mean time you can connect in the shop he runs at the ruins entrance. I would guess there is room for two vans / suv with rtt. Big rigs / RVs will not fit. There is electricity to charge your devices in the palappa. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to spend the night. Enrique is an awesome host who told us all about the vision of this place and even gave us a tour through Altun Ha. The campground is beautiful and has everything you need. Dont forget to bring mosquito repellant though! Absolutely recommended!

This is one of the very few places to camp around Belize City with electricity and water available, and the only place by Altun Ha. It is a beautiful little property with local fruits growing on the trees, which we were offered. There is no WIFI, but it can be accessed at the owner's cafe by the Altun Ha ruins down the street which were a mix of covered and uncovered ruins. Our kid had no trouble using the cafe to do his homework. The owner Enrique is an amazing person with ambitions to improve the facilities here to include palapas and a community structure. As it stands, there is parking for a couple small vehicles in the entrance, places to set up tents, running water, a bathroom with toilet and cold shower, but it was welcome with the heat of the area. We keeps everything on the property clean. He was willing and able to introduce us to the people and places in the area. It is a short walk to the ruins and we met really welcoming local people along the way. One of the locals allowed us to check out and hold a crocodile. Big rigs would have to park outside the gate, but we felt completely safe around the area, which is well lit. The only downside we found is the mosquitos, but good luck avoiding then anywhere in Belize.

We spent one night in the beautiful garden of Enrique. He greeted us from his shop at the entrance to the Altun ha site. We had dinner and had breakfast together. He even gave us a coconut on waking. The location is very quiet and nice, we put our tent under the palapa. Enrique has a lot of projects for his "pradines castle", it's very interesting.
