Right by the highway, location is easy to find and yes, they filled our US 9kg tank in less than 30 minutes. Sign said 10,700 for 5kg and 20, 500 for 11kg ( perhaps these are standard Chilean sizes ). Our 9kg tank was not empty and only needed 6kg to fill it - he kindly charged us 10,700, not 20,500 ! But normally you pay based on tank size, not how much you put in it. Takes credit card as well !!!

Easy to find off main turning to Osorno just off Ruta 5- you can see the Lipigas plant. Quickly changed our gas tank (8050pesos) and were on our way again. Fill up here as there’s not many places apart from Osorno for gas

Filled 3kg US bottle.

Price: 7,800 CLP (this is the price for 5kg, but they charge for 5kg even if you have a smaller tank).

30 minutes, arrival to fill.

Open 8am-5pm.

They filled our standard US removable tank in about 30 minutes. Get it filled here! We drove all over Puerto Montt, and had no luck, so we returned here.

Large Lipigas facility that was able to fill our US 5 Liter propane tank without adapter. 7,650 to fill up our tank.

For directions here simply put in "LAS BRASAS" restaurant (mapsme) and it's directly opposite.

Never mentioned but they filled bottle without adaptor as we don't have one. Guy said last Lipigas to do this before we hit Carretera Austral will be Coyhaique.

They filled our U.S. propane cylinders here in about an hour. they charged the same amount as an exchange. Prices are posted on a big sign. I think we paid around 6000 pesos for each 5kg cylinder. They told me that they could NOT fill fixed tanks, only portable cylinders.

they fill bottles with macho-connections (all american bottles). We have a european bottle with macho adaptor.
price: 12.200 Peso / 11kg propane
