Something not right?

Description

Just before the park gate (arch). Turn left. Go past Don Muchos Restaurant across left side bridge (one car at a time, sign says light vehicles only). Next place right after bridge ask guy for camping. Only 1 or 2 spots. Bathrooms, siffy filthy shower. We paid 50 pesos per person. No power, no wifi, but good 3G. Not for big rigs (bridge will not carry you).

Wasn’t for us. Seemed unmaintained and did not seem clear where we could park our sprinter. We didn’t stay- Would be okay for a night.

we arrived in the afternoon and the party was getting started, we have dogs and we usually look for somewhere we can all relax.

Moved in to Roberto Barrios 45 mins down the road. Worth it!!!

Loud music at a Thursday night. The toilet was very dirty, looks like they never ever cleaned it. Was the dirtiest toilet in one year trip. Same for the bucket shower with water from the river.
Almost everyone want to sell you mushrooms and weed. A small narrow entrance, hard to find as described before. He ask for 200MX, we showed him the bathroom and he said 100MX are ok. Very, very basic. No real opportunity to wash you dishes. If you are self contained you have less troubles.

Little cool comunity in the jungle... Sanitary is a bit (a lot) ‘simple’ and not so clean... but for one night it’s perfect! Cheap and a good expierence! Nice people toooooo :-) super close to the ruins!

Easily arrived there on motorcycles, got a camping spot on top of a building for 30 peso. Running cold water with good pressure.
Take the road down, keep left side after arriving at the restaurants parking lot.

A little hard to find. Google will probably try to send you down the wrong way. It's a left turn just before the archway/ entrance to the park. Sort of confusing when we were trying to figure out who to pay, but we talked to a few different people and figured it out. We stayed two nights. 30 pesos/person/night. Toilets not very clean, no seats, but at least had running water. The shower had good pressure and honestly was pretty refreshing in the July heat... Just try to ignore the bugs. Restaurants and bars close by, not the cheapest food but tasty. Pretty cheap beers. Good spot to check out the ruins.
