Works for tent camping too!

The parking lot is good for parking a van or RV; I rode my motorcycle up by one of the shaded benches and set up a tent for the night.

I arrived on a Saturday just after sunset. Nobody was here. Spent the night and a leisurely morning. People started showing up Sunday morning around 10am but nobody bothered me.

Despite the 6km of ripio road with many curves, the place is very beautiful, peaceful and felt safe to us. We spent one night here and during the time we were here no one else showed up.

Apesar dos 6km de estrada de ripio e com muitas curvas, o local é muito bonito, tranquilo e nos paraceu seguro. passamos uma noite aqui e no tempo que aqui estivemos não apareceu mais ninguém.

Beautiful place! The view is one of the best we have had in South America! Unfortunately people leave lots of trash…

Had a very nice and quiet night here. Very beautiful surroundings!

Driving up was not a problem at all with our 2WD 6m VW Crafter. Maps.me knows the right way (Google Maps doesn‘t). Takes about 15-20 Minutes up from town.

Bitel signal was not good.

As an American I can say: gorgeous, mind blowing, best ever.

We stayed for 3 days because it was just so lovely and relaxed, lots of grassy areas for our dog and the weather was just splendid.

Still a very good spot to sleep ! There was quite a few families on the afternoon and for sunset but once the night had started, we were alone. Amazing views. Quiet. Nice stars in the night sky.
The road to get up here is a gravel, some parts are bumpy, some parts are not too bad. Easy access with a 5meter long 2WD van.

Report Check-In

highly recommended, quiet and good views, it is best avoid weekends.

++Because the mirador is so beautiful, we added the tourist attraction entry.
++zero trash, on a Friday morning somebody came to clean the area around the trash bins.
++ absolutely no noise, no light, but nature
+ very good Claro reception
o ACCESS road is steep and narrow, but well maintained. Difficult for a vehicle with a turning circle with more than 13 m. There are 2 tight turns where you have to maneuver back and forth, but there is enough space for it.
Summary: For us as Germans one of the best wild camps after 3 years in South America, we stayed 2 days. In American terms: gorgeous, mind blowing, the best ever

Amazing view, really beautiful, spectacular and awesome. Is also possible to make a short hike to the second viewpoint, 1,7km far. Safe parking on saturday night.

Far from town with couple switchbacks but nice and calm with awesome view :)

We spend an afternoon and a night here, beautiful quiet and safe spot, no wind protection. The views are amazing as they've been told. Go on the road there is a sign that leads you here (on Google Maps it makes you take a right before the sign). It's 6 km away from town and the main road but it worth it. No Bitel Mobile Internet.
