Description

Another top pick on our trip. Friendliest owners on the planet. On the road to Pance there are dozens of places to camp, but you should hold out until the end of the road for this gem. All the facilities including internet. Beautiful property, tons of space to spread out. Areas to grill, watch TV, hang out, go for a swim and fish. Said to be internet as of August 2015

NOT bigrig friendly. Progressively worse road as you come towards the end.

The place is now called Ari Munani and you can find it on Instagram for info and pictures etc. It’s a lovely place to go with partner and friends but don’t expect luxuries. It has all the facilities necessary for hygiene and cooking. Owners are lovely but you need to make sure you get in touch with them beforehand so they know you are coming. I have a small car and i was able to get to the location without any problems. It is super easy to get to and just in case you need extra help they send you a short video and lots of directions so you don’t get lost. They offer breakfast and lunch but don’t expect restaurant service. I will definitely visit again. I forgot to mention that the road to Pueblo pance has improved so any car is able to reach this place without problems.

Really good! The original description fits this place perfectly. We had the place to ourselves Friday and Saturday nights, 20000 cop per person per night, camping in the van. Rooms available also. Maybe we were lucky to catch the owners as they were arriving also. Their house is a long way up the hill from gate. Totally recommend for smaller vehicles. Clean cold showers and toilets, wifi, pool table, hammocks. 20 minute walk upstream to small waterhole. Take the time to explore the main river (previous left hand turn on road) into the free national park where you can walk all day rock hopping upstream, take a picnic. Butterflies galore. Highly recommended.

Closed when we arrived at 3pm on a Friday. Permanently closed? Big padlock on the gate and the doorbell has been ripped, out so we thought so. We honked the car horn several times to no avail. A guy wandering inside on the property ignored us. The road here is definitely small-rig only.

Honestly I wouldn't go out of my way - this was easily the best looking property in the valley. We thought the area was a national park (and it is up the back where there are no roads), but it is really a river that a tonne of locals come to swim/sit in. All businesses are catering for that crowd. Parking is sparse, and road is bumpy and narrow. We looked at the other ioverlander camping spots and were unimpressed, so we headed to Cali.

we arrived at 5pm on a Saturday to a locked gate. no one answered when we rang the bell.

good for small vans. Very nice owners they asked for 12 p.p we try for 10 they said yes so we stayed 3 nights. very relaxin place big pool is not dirty just need some painting but small pools are nice good wifi

Report Check-In

Dirty road with difficult access for big rigs. There are only one leveled place for parking and fits maybe two cars only, the other places will be leveled in the next months according to the news owners. Good wifi in the restaurant. Dirty pool. The place and the views are really nice but needs a little bit of work. We paid COP 20.000 p day for the car. There are also a kitchen available but unfortunately with some cockroaches running around.

Report Check-In

Definitely NOT BigRig friendly. Gate is narrow with tyre-wrecking rocks on one side and post on the other. Sign over the top had to be lifted to allow our camper under.
Then once inside there are other very low cables and only one reasonably level spot which was already taken. We would have had to raise the front by more than 30cm to get level so gave it a miss.
Road is gets progressively worse the closer you get and there are a couple of places where low branches are a problem. Suggest much better alternatives especially for bigrigs.

Internet available at house apparently.

We tried to go here but it was closed. We talked to some locals and they said its under new ownership. Hopefully it will reopen to overlanders. We found another good place down the road that called Finca Farallones.

Another top pick on our trip. Friendliest owners on the planet. On the road to Pance there are dozens of places to camp, but you should hold out until the end of the road for this gem. All the facilities but internet, and the owners plan to add that very soon. Beautiful property, tons of space to spread out. Areas to grill, watch TV, hang out, go for a swim and fish. No internet yet, but they said it was coming soon.
