Found the Lagoona in Google Earth, very green. Fantastic view to Volcan Ollagüe and Volcan Aucanquilcha. Flat, can be windy. Waterbirds, Vicunias. Road acceptable. Entel reception.

I don’t agree with the last comment, the road was in perfect condition and extremely scenic, definitely worth a detour. Saw vicuñas, llamas, flamingos and nandus. Views of the volcanos and salar cut by the river system are stunning!
Report Check-Ineasy road here, still not worth the detour. nothing extra you cant see from the main road
do yourself (and the vehicle) a favour and dont take the road from here to agua caliente. you wont get stuck at all in dry conditions but it is a a horrendous drive
Beautiful view, quite easy access on 2WD (you can continue on the same road and arrive on “Aguas Calientes” which is a nice spot too!), but no shelter from the wind...
