Costa Rica
I found this place on TripAdvisor, but for some reason, only a few people go there. During the rainy season, the road is 4*4 only, we drove a Toyota 4Runner and were fine.
Cloudbridge is a private nature reserve, and I believe, it's the only place in Costa Rica with entrance by donation, where 100% of income goes back into the running and reforestation of the reserve, education of local and international students, conservation of primary forest habitats and studying the local flora, fauna and impacts of the reforestation efforts within the reserve.
There are amazing views and waterfalls, no-one was there during our visit, only one volunteer, who works at the Main Station and can provide you info about trails and animals. There are walking poles, which I highly recommend to use. If you like, you can swim in the waterfall, but it's really cold. There are also bathrooms in the parking lot and pit toilet in the middle of the trail.
To sum up, it is our favorite hiking place in Costa Rica.

We did a beautiful loop of around fifteen km and 1000m of altitude difference starting from the village, this is the Sendero Montaña and Sendero Rió walk, the plans of which are on their website. The walk begins with 4 km in the Chirripó National Park (this part is free). The forest is very beautiful, however there are not many animals. The price is now US$10 for adults (free for children) even if on the Internet or on certain signs it is written US$8.
Big downside, today a park employee was obnoxious! He was about to come to blows, fortunately his colleagues controlled him and we finally refunded the entry to apologize for his behavior! First in 2 years of travel that we are feeling unsafe!
Report Check-InSame price still. Lovely park, we had a great hike. Don’t attempt in a big camper. Road is steep in parts, lumpy and narrow single track. Fine for us in our kombi, 2wd not necessary at the moment.
Report Check-InCRC4000 pp entry. Pretty steep uphills to walk. If you like jungle walks this is a pretty one. There are 3 kinds of walks: 15min, 2 hrs round trip or 4hrs round trip. You’ll see waterfalls, monkeys and birds. Wear good shoes and a stick would be good too (very steep). The road to it is doable for up to truck-camper size, no bigger. Not much parking
Report Check-Ingreat hiking during the dry season. cool weather, lots of well marked trails to keep busy all day.
the road is narrow and a bit difficult with a big rig. parking spaces are limited so come early. enterence fee is now a mandatory $7 USD (4000 col) PP.
