We stayed here for a night and the family watched after our dog while we were to Tikal. Nice grassy area, few other animals on the land (2 nice dogs, ducks, baby cow…) shower and toilet are inside the house but the family is always in the kitchen so it’s ok.
We paid 100qz for the night and 50qz for the dog. We found it expensive but did not try to negociate as we arrived late. I think you can also ask to only watch the dog and just pay for that and sleep in a free spot. But was also nice to have a shower after Tikal..

Nice if you have a dog otherwise you can find better place :)

Very nice and quiet night here at Jorge and wife’s place. We were looking for an option for our dog since the guys at Tikal entrance offered to paid the (ridiculous) amount of Q150 to look after our dog few hours. So we tried Jorge’s house even if last review was old. No surprise, we were warmly welcomed and we could spend the night here with our dog. Left at 5:45 next morning to visit Tikal. They took good care of our dog until 12:00 when we came back. We paid 50Q for the dog and 50Q for the night. Toilets and shower available.

Price is now 100Q for two people and our van. And it’s quite pricey for what you get.

Our experience is good (safe and had a shower) but I wouldn’t say it’s as highly positive as the past reviewers. Maudani helped us in her land and was nice. We never met her husband, though. Overall it was a limited interaction.

The bathroom is inside their house, which also means if you need to use it and it’s after 9pm-ish, you might have to knock on their door for them to come down and unlock the front door to let you in. Cold water shower, but that’s ok since we were pretty sweaty from walking around Tikal.

Parking is very informal and it’s wherever you can find a flat-ish spot. It’s a little difficult to find, but after a few tries it’s possible.

If we had pets, it seems this place is good to drop them off while you explore Tikal. But since we don’t have pets, and now that the price is 100Q, we think there’s not much reason to stop here. Camping at Tikal is the same price and the amenities must be better. Or you can sleep safely for free in Flores.

We messaged Jorge before visiting but didn’t receive a response. Still went and was greeted by his wife, Maldani. Extremely kind and gracious people. They gave us some of their chickens eggs laid that day! And some salsa Fresca and another soy dish that she made. We spent at least an hour chatting with Jorge when he returned and it was helpful to practice Spanish as he spoke some English and could help when we got stock. They have a beautiful property with many animals and there were goats that were 4 days old!!! They watched our dog for us the next morning while we visited Tikal and even let us shower when we got back from the Parque before we left. Highly highly recommend!

Such a nice family! We slept here the night before we went to Tikal. We had great discussions with them, they let us use their bathroom and even their shower. They even gave us homemade tamales and they took care of our puppy while we went to the ruins!!

Very welcoming and friendly family!!!
We stayed one night, Maudeni even offered us homemade Tamales and they were very delicious!
Could take also a shower.
Next day we went explore Tikal and left our dog here, with no issue and had a good feeling too!
Very recommended...

We stopped here and they watched our dog for three hours while we went to Tikal, super nice family we tried to give them 35Q but they wouldn’t take it so I left it there anyways for them such a nice family definitely stay here.

Family house with a grassy parking lot (some parts flat). Space for big rigs and tents. Pets allowed. Water available on site. 50Q per car (not per person). So muuuuch cheaper than the campings in El Remate and Tikal (which are 40Q/50Q per person). Excellent location if you want to visit Tikal (just 3km away on route). As this is a family house, it’s better to let the owner (Jorge) know before coming (in case he is not there at the moment). His number is: +502 46573247. Very nice people! Highly recommended!

Casa de familia con parqueo verde (algunas partes llano). Espacio para campers grandes y tiendas de campaña. Mascotas permitidas. Agua disponible en el sitio. 50Q por auto (no por persona). Mucho mas economico que los campings en El Remate o Tikal (donde cobran 40Q/50Q por persona). Ubicación perfecta si quiere visitar Tikal (a solo 3km).
