This is the best camp spot I’ve ever been to. However I spent about an hour picking up other people’s kleenexes and garbage. Sad that people would litter at such an amazing spot.

really nice spot for a stop. there are no camping signs but when I stopped there was a family camping there so maybe it's not enforced.

A park agent kindly told us that we couldn’t stay here overnight. Said he would come back later in the evening to see if anyone was there

Very very nice spot, seems to be popular. Stream is very cold, breathtaking for two reasons; swimming and views.

This site is open. The post about it being closed with no camping signs us wrong. There are no barriers to entry and no signs anywhere.

March 11, 2021 - camped at this spot last night. There are no fences closing off this site. There are no ‘No Overnight Camping’ signs. This site is not patrolled and enforced. The previous poster was wrong. That post referred to Cathedral Grove which is closed, fenced and patrolled. This site is several km west of Cathedral Grove. This site should not be removed from the database.

Spot was pretty busy and right beside the highway but was safe and an overall good spot to stop. Gorgeous views being right in between all the massive trees.

What a great little camping spot right by a creek...which helps to drown out the road noise. You feel like you are camping with all the big beautiful trees and lovely creek. <3. The only downfall is the garbage campers have left behind. Please remember to clean up after your stay :)

revenu après avoir passé quelques jours vers Tofino toujours aussi busy in groupe d'asiatique venait d'y reste 2 nuits et y on laissé un bordel monstre on a rammasser 7 sac poubelles un vrai carnage degeulasse svp laisserons droit propre
sinon c'est va nous être fermé Ranger passe régulièrement justement pour vérifier bcp de traffic et de klaxon qui commence en semaines 5am plus calme le weekend

top Mais arriver tôt cette nuit y avait 4 campers 5 voitures 4 tentes que des gens cool bel ambiance prêt du feu pêche dans la rivière endroit sympas pour une nuit très proche de la route mais nuit de vendredi à samedi relativement calme surtout samedi matin casi personne
un endroit sympas pour faire des rencontres puisqu'on est pas mal les uns sur les autres.... le spot le busy que j'ai fait a date durant Mon road trip Québec Vancouver.

Cathedral is closed to public and fences are blocking parts of parking. Beware when parking there, traffic is fast on the highway!!

Busy nice hidden place by the river and under the trees. Lots of rooms if people park properly. Would be awesome to clean after yourself and bury your waste.

Woah one of the busiest overlander spots I’ve stayed at, and like a previous reviewer I also ended up spending the night drinking by the river with a group of French travelers. Maybe 9 vans/campers although some didn’t fit and parked along the road it was so tight. Beautiful by the river though!

Stayed here for a night on the way to Tofino. As past comments have said, there is a lot of rubbish and toilet paper left around here. But if you look past that it is a beautiful spot by the river. There is road noise from the traffic but it didn’t bother us. Get in early if you want the river camp spot as others arrived after us and just camped on the road leading to it because we’ll... ITS FREE

Lovely spot. The animal bones described by the previous post are still there, off to the side of the plot. There is a lot of them, more than one animal, but we couldn't smell anything (maybe depends on the wind?) lf you park up as close as possible to the river, you probably won't notice the bones, but if this kind of stuff freaks you out, this might not be the place for you.

Nice spot right on the river, just off the road. Probably enough space for a few vans. We were the only people there for the night. Lots of trash unfortunately... we packed up what trash we could and dumped it at the cathedral grove pull off trash cans.

This place is nice. We are standing here with a 23 foot long RV.
We see tents here and some spend the night in a normal car.
The next morning we see that many have done their business in the forest. Why don't you bury your turds? Why do you just throw the toilet paper into nature?
You are the reason why wild camping has a bad reputation.
Please keep the pitches clean.

Great little spot. We stayed with 7 other vans/campers and everyone had enough space. We spent the evening sitting near the river and having drinks with a group of French-Canadians traveling all the way from Montreal. I do recommend getting here early, as the secret is out... and a few cars came and left without a spot!

Place was fairly empty, and there were a few spots by the river. Absolutely gorgeous. The trees and the sound of the stream block out a majority of the sound from the road.

As described. Hidden from the road but you can hear it quite well. Not a lot of space but only 2 other vans there tonight. Nice spot.

Good spot but easy to miss! Make sure to time your turn. It’s quite busy with 9 vehicles tonight. If you’re early then you can get a beautiful spot right on the river. Can’t complain about a free night though! So please keep it clean and it will stay.

very nice spot river water was very clean but it was a rainy day disappointed to see dog and human mess left behind I picked up about 10 cigarette butts enough room for 3 or 4 small rv's no one else showed up had the place to ourselves road traffic noise in day but quiet at night

Great spot for the night. Nice to be right by the river. A bit of traffic noise but not too bad. Get in early if you can, very busy spot for the night and there are only 2 nice spots right by the river.

Nice spot. Unfortunately, some human poop right next to river. Some trash around. Dig a hole for #2 and pack out your trash!!!! Keep these spots clean or they will be closed down!

Very noisy even during night, because it is right next to the road. It was a rainy day and night and the place was very bumpy, full of holes, mud and water.

Almost missed the little gravel road entrance.
Only one other camper here but beautiful scenery by the river. Loving the running water to put me to sleep. Still some cars on the highway but doesn’t bother me to hear them pass by.
Perfect little overnighter.

Great spot right by the river with campfire ring and access for 3-4 vehicles max. River is deep enough to swim, but weather was too cold at the time. Decent amount of trash around as well - pick up people!

Downsides:
Pretty close to the road
It’s less secret than you think (we where with 4 cars) ;-)
And it’s pretty messy. We took over 4 bags of garbage with us.
