guy came around the morning after we camped there and told us they were starting to discourage campers here due to the high volume of trash accumulating. Best bet would be to leave early in the morning or head down the road to BLM. It's a bit loud from the freeway and the hikers starting early but good enough.
Report Check-InLarge dirt lot. Not super level but good enough. Trash cans and porta potty at the trailhead. Very quiet at night except for some highway noise. Like others said, many hikers arrived early in the morning (before sunrise) so it was a bit loud but then quieted down again for a peaceful morning. Full bars Verizon LTE!
Report Check-InPerfeito lugar para dormir, tinha alguns Motorhomes dormindo por aqui, não tem estrutura, mas tem lixeiras e várias trilhas para fazer ele nesta região.
Report Check-InGreat lot by a river and paved bike trail. Stayed here for a few days and got some work done with the good signal. Lots of hikers park here during the day.
Report Check-InAwesome spot. Visited in the summer. Toilets are cleaned weekly, fantastic Verizon LTE (50Mbps), and nice white noise from the stream nearby. NOTE: don't park near the trailhead, we got knocked by a ranger and there are signs now. They said the parking lot is fine, had no problems there for several nights.
Report Check-InFantastic spot right off the highway, but almost no road noise. Plenty of room for lots of vehicles on the wide-open gravel lot. Pit toilets available across the street. Four bars of LTE service on AT&T. Make sure your body is prepared for sleeping at high elevation. Only two other vehicles on a Monday night.
Report Check-InGreat place for a night. There was snow and some skiers here. Also a few porta potties. We had LTE for Google Fi.
Report Check-InGreat spot to chill before a Loveland or A basin pow day. Quick easy drive to slopes. some level spots, some paved spots, porta potty. Old fireplace, spots to walk around a little, creek. I-70 noise.
Report Check-InOff the freeway. Dirt and gravel flat top. Slightly wavy, had to maneuver my truck somewhat to get it level. There’s another camper here. Some road noise, not awful. A couple of street lights close by, but overall very easy, quiet, safe spot to sleep.
Report Check-Ingood stop, easy and and by the highway but very quiet. if you go to the right and cross over a small bridge there is a spot that you can back into that is very quiet. there were lots of cars there when we arrived but many were hikers are climbers. A few cars/vans remained in the main lot overnight.
Report Check-InStayed 1 night without issue. Very busy (parking full) during the day from about 6am on weekends. Starts to empty-out by late afternoon. Great walking path if you’re not up to climbing the mountains. No toilet or trash cans. Good cell reception.
Report Check-Inbig dirt parking turn around with structure in the middle. parked here at 4am after getting a knock on our window at a previous spot. rock climbers show up at about 5 and are noisy, but happy and keep to themselves.
Report Check-InEasy access and surprisingly not too much noise from the interstate. One other van also pulled up. Expect snow in this area during the winter. It is flat, so 4WD is not critical unless it snows on you overnight.
Report Check-InThis is a huge dirt & gravel parking lot on either side of the road. People use this to park their cars when climbing Mount Grays & Mount Torreys. There's also a beautiful creek here.
Report Check-InPeople start showing up around 0430. Would recommend it more for van or big rig folks over RTT campers.
