Description

15 Sol p/p per night, kids free. Camping on a flat meadow.

Bathroom, shower, well-stocked kitchen with drinkable tap water (update: not free to use when we were there, only water), sofas outside, very friendly owner Doña Rogata.

Big place to park RVs or pitch tents. Marian is easy to access from Huaraz, about 7 min (25 minutes with colectivo) and it's a quiet neighborhood. Very safe, there is a wall around the farm.

Nice boulders in 7-10 min walking. On the way to Quebrada Llaca/ Laguna Churup.

Doña Rogata's phone number is +51 925037677. Her son Avencio's number is +51 915172566. (update: I'm not sure if the telephone numbers are still in use)

Pets are welcome! Rogata has 3 friendly dogs that sleep in the night :)

There are also independent bungalows and dorms available - just call Rogata to check availability and price.

Our access to the garage has the following measurements: 3.90 wide and 3.30 high meters and centimeters. Have a great day and thank you very much for visiting Huaraz.

Really kind and warm poeple. Excellent clean bathrooms with hot showers and a cover to hide from rain.

Superbe emplacement, plat, herbeux, douche chaude et WC très propre.Calme.
Propriétaire très sympathique, toujours prêt à aider.
Nous avons passé 1 nuit.

Report Check-In

This place is such a gem! In 6 years on the road, this is one of the cutest, cleanest bathrooms we have seen! Avencio is an excellent host and he has plans of increasing the height of the gate to accommodate more overland rigs. He expects it will be done in 2 months. Currently he doesn't have WhatsApp, but plans to, so perhaps contact in advance if you have a larger rig to see if the renovation had been completed.

Report Check-In

Extremely beatiful and calm place. Behind fence and with 4 dogs - secure, pottable water, clean toilets and hot shower. 15sol pp/night. 5 extra for electricity. Old lady is very friendly and she loves to help with anything she can, she reminded us of a friendly grandma :)

Report Check-In

The ownerin is super nice and you get a warm welcome from here.
Parking is on a grassy area and maybe for tents or rooftop tens you can park under the roof.
The shower are really hot with perfect pressure. The hole bathroom is super clean and nice.
She has also filter water in the kitchen.
From here to Huaraz town its easy with the collectivo at the front of the house.

She has now Wifi, but for 5 soles you can have electricity.
Entrance limit is ca.3.30meter high.
Please support this beautiful and hard working woman.

Lovely spot. We stayed here 3 different times during our 3 weeks exploring the Cordillera Blanca. Owners are so helpful. Avencio has all kinds of info about where to find things in Huaraz.

Shower is gloriously hot and endless.

Collectivo to town is incredibly convenient. 2 Sol pp. Any bus going downhill past the campground will take you to the Centro. For return, look for buses with "Marian" & "Pinar" on the windshield that headed east on the road the is on the north side of the mercado.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay for a few days and enjoy Huaraz.
The bathroom is generous, has many storage space and a large hot shower.
The kitchen is practical.
A pleasant lounge with lots of books and cards.
On the outside there is a large covered area with tables, chairs and deck chairs. Everything is very clean!

The campsite looks far away from the city center, but is very easy to reach with the Colectivo (approx. Every 10 minutes).

Report Check-In

We loved it here - a big, flat space for parking, with nice views of the mountains. Doña Rogata is a lovely host! Her son, Avencio, helped us plan some of our day trips from there (it turns out he is also an electrical engineer who works with solar panels, so might be able to offer advice in that area too).
The bathroom is the best we’ve seen for weeks, with a good hot shower. It took a little while to warm up, so be patient. The water from the hose and the kitchen is potable and we could fill our small water tank here. There is a 5s extra fee for using the gas in the kitchen.

Be sure to write ahead, as you may not be heard from the gate if the hosts are working outdoors.

Report Check-In

Confirming what other said, 15 sol per person, you can fill up you potable water tank here as well, super nice owners

Report Check-In

Nice grassy field for camping. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Showers are hot and clean. Claro service was poor for us, but Movistar worked ok. The height of the entrance gate is 3.3m. There is potable water from a tap, but the hose connection at the tap is just a hose barb.

Report Check-In

Supernice quiet place. Friendly owners who like to help you with planning your trips.
Son is working on his English, mother Rogata is supersweet , but only speaks Spanish. Hot clean showers in the bungalow. Potable water with hose. Dogs are very curious, but friendly. Entrance is wide and high, but an uncomfortable high bump to get in/out.
Place is located in the town of Marian. How it’s called I don’t know. Collectivo driver called it Casa de Guias.
Collectivo (2 soles) works fine but can be very very full, so if car sickness is your thing wouldn’t recommend.
A bell on the door would be nice. We have been waiting a while on the street before we were noticed.

Literally the only and best place to stay in Huaraz if you want to acclamatize and do all the beautiful day hikes from here like we did. To get here just follow the google map road that takes you to El Pinar, it is wide and fully paved. Text her or call her directly before coming, she doesn’t have whatapp. It’s a big brown gate you can’t miss it. It’s a beautiful/peaceful campsite, with a hot shower, functioning kitchen, sun room and huge place for dogs to run. She has 4 adopted dogs and they are very friendly. Our dogs played all day. The lady is super kind and caring. She will help you with everything but she only speaks Spanish. There is claro coverage here but no wifi. There are collectivos going to city centre every 10 mins right outside the gate for 2 soles. We found a taxi guy who took us and our dog from here to all the trail heads as the road to trail heads were really bad. He is on WhatsApp - Johny +51944923987. Stay here without any stress. 15 soles per person per night.

Report Check-In

Ok firstly take the road that google maps suggest, it’s fully paved and no issues and just enter from the second big wooden gates. Secondly don’t judge this place too fast like we did cause we entered at night. If you have dogs, it’s a paradise of a place for them. Because the 4 resident dogs are super playful and friendly. Now the owner lady is the highlight of this place. She is so kind and caring, reminded of my grandmom. There is no wifi here but the beautiful garden, sparkling clean bathroom, hot shower, amazing sunroom to do work or have morning tea, kitchen to cook. This place is the most calming mountain house vibe. You will love staying here. It was 15 soles per person. Highly recommend as it’s 10 minutes from the chaotic huaraz but absolutely calm and peaceful x

Report Check-In

Amazing, our dog loved running with the other dogs around the farm. The owners are very nice, the bathroom is clean and the shower is hot. They don't have wifi, but 4G works with Claro.

Report Check-In

Staying here for a few days. Very beautiful place, owners are amazing. It is open for business and accepting guests. Camping or cabanas are possible. Bathroom and kitchen access possible depending on how full the cabanas are.

Report Check-In

We searched for the place in the streets, got told from a neighbor that here is no camping spot. The owner opened the door and we stayed here some nights. Hot showers, a garden with herbs and veggies, perfect spots to pitch your tent. The best camping spot we visited.

Report Check-In

We called and they told us there would be road works and therefore it’s not possible to access the camping at the moment.

Report Check-In

Closed at the moment due to issues with the toilets and showers. Don't know till when. A bit further up is another place.

Report Check-In

It’s indeed a lovely campsite and the owner Rogata is really sweet. She only asks 5 sol pp/pn. However, the shower is not hot, nor warm and the kitchen was not free to use when we were there. We understood that it was for the people in the cabanas. There is a little bathroom for everyone to share. It had 1 toilet and 1 shower. Can get busy when there are nearly 10 people around (as in our case).

Report Check-In

Went to check in and a man told us it was out of business for a while so we couldn't stay.

Report Check-In

What an an amazing campsite and as well amazing people. Rogata and Avencio are so friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 3 nights in our van and could use the very clean bathroom with hot shower in one the cabañas they have.
We only paid 5 Sol per night together. It's nothing for this place, where the owners cares for the plants and animals as well. We loved it. The place is definitely worth more and we gave some tip.

Report Check-In

This place is NOT closed. It’s a great place with a cosy seating corner, covered from wind and rain, however warm and light because of the transparent roof. Clean bathroom with warm (not hot) shower after some patience. We got electricity to the camper via an extension cord and paid extra because electricity is expensive in Peru. Nice kitchen too. Great owners, very helpful. No WiFi but good Claro coverage. You can charge your SIM card in the small village.

Report Check-In

currently difficult to reach, take the road via Las Lomas.
beautiful spot! 3 bars claro 4g

Report Check-In

We have access, many thanks for visiting huaraz

Report Check-In

Amazing place, I think is one of the best places we have stayed at and the price is great. You are just 15min away from Huaraz and inmerse in the fields, just bird noises and green all around you.
PS: To get here you have to come through nueva florida and not Pinar. Just call Rogata if you have any trouble. The road is a gravel road of 3km.

Report Check-In

Exactly as others have said. It’s a really quite and peaceful place to sleep and even spend the day. Lots of space to park. The max height through the gate is probably 3.5m so that’s the only restriction. The bathroom is very clean and there is a nice kitchen. Easy to get to and from Huaraz with the collectivos. The owners Rogata and Avecio are incredibly nice and helpful. They talked with us about what hikes to do and even pulled out a great map to show us around. 👍👍

Report Check-In

Awesome place and the most affordable one. Very tranquilo and neat energy.

Report Check-In

we have very large spaces for RV's for tents, individual rooms and many green areas with security and tranquility, marian wahi has a strong ecological criteria. have a great day

Awesome Jewel, Nice Owners, Colectivo to the City 15min 1sol. I spend way longer here then I thought I would. Nice Water pressure. Enough Space for a Big Inside Cleaning. Bodega with basic goods 2min Walk. Sadly Road construction till Feb. We could always leave thru one of the 2 Ways getting here. I would alway try over District El pinar, thats aswell the Big Rig acess. Seems to be aswell a nice option for Long Term Storage.

Report Check-In

Tried to spend the night here but after taking the main road (the paved one going up to El Pinar) and changing to the smaller gravel road that takes you to the campsite, there was a cordon saying you cannot go further across the road. We tried another road, which was quite small and gravelly (wouldn't work for a big rig) but being 400 meters away from the campsite we were told to turn around again, because apparently they are working on the road and you're not allowed to pass. Would recommend to call the owners first before trying to get there, just to be safe.

Report Check-In

Really a nice place. HOT shower's. Potable Water. Nice and helpfull owner. Clean bathroom. Load's of space. Easy accsessable. At the moment there is construction on the road up to the camp. should be done in about two week's. Highly recommendable. Very cheap. 5 Sol. per night/person.

Report Check-In

Lovely and as described in other comments. Super spacious, with raspberry bush and plum trees as bonuses. Views of some surrounding mountains, good hot shower, well-stocked kitchen.
Very attentive hosts.
Couch is so comfortable it sucks you in.

No wifi.
Village has minimarkets with limited options: beer, bananas, eggs, snacks... Inca Kola.

To get to and from the city center, take the 15 or 20 minibus, 25 minutes, but when coming back make sure it says "Marian."

5 soles per person per night.

Highly recommended.
