Description

Amazing spot up a steep gravel road. Recommend 4x4 with good ground clearance only, don't bother trying with a trailer. Amazing water view of a cove toward the end of the road where the turn around is.

Latest Check-Ins

Didn't stay here as there is an open gate with a "Private Property, No Trespassing" sign on it before getting to the turnaround. There was a spot earlier on the road, but nothing fantastic. Would be an option on a really windy day of you needed wind shelter though. The road up is passable in a 4x4, but the gravel is really chunky.

excellent spot, really quiet and serene.
real 4x4 only as the road was lately rebuilt and now all is lose gravel without any traction.
no sedans anymore up here.

Report Check-In

Cool spot, already the drive there has some neat views to offer. Absolutely quiet and if you park at the end of the gravel road no wind at all.

Report Check-In

Steep rough road to spot and then easy gravel. We used 4H to get up after failing in 2WD. You can drive on grass out to point. We did, very bumpy. Too windy so we retreated back to end of gravel where it was safe from wind.

Report Check-In

We saw locals driving up there with their Sedans. So 4x4 and especially high clearance is somewhat relative.

Report Check-In

For sure you need a 4x4. 13% grade. Very wet and foggy when we were on the Peninsula. Wanted to stay away from the lighthouse and the fog horn. Just parked in the cul-de-sac to be on the safe side and walked down to the cliffs and watched whales in the morning.
