Description

At kilometer 15 on the road between Novo RS 235 Petróplis and Gramado a five-kilometer muddy path turns to Rio Caí. At the river there is a very rustic campsite. With the camper you can park out on a grassy area next to the grill hut. The last meters to the campsite are quite steep and there is a tight curve. The bathroom is very rustic, but has hot showers (which we didn't use). Worth visiting the open air museum "Parque Aldeia do Imigrante" in Novo Petróplis (5 Real / person) at S 29.37278 W 51.10728. Good, German sourdough bread available in Cafe & Cia. Novo Petróplis at S 29.37430 W 51.10889. The German butcher "Suibom" sells good sausage and meat on the road to Gramado at S 29.34706 W 51.02524.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice quiet place (according to the owner busy during the summer and the weekends. Was a little cold, but we managed to sleep in a tent. The camping is very long and has few “stations” - kitchen, showers (which we used and they work, not the cleanest toilets though). We paid 18pp. Be careful with the flies and mosquitoes in the evening as well as hens and chickens who carry the fleas.
