nice private RV Park close to all of the Redwood National Park action. we paid $66.14 a night for a four night stay in the meadow RV area. 30 amp hookup with water and sewer.

Elk Country RV Resort and Campground. Privately owned campground. Charged us $52.50 a night for a tent site with electricity. At those prices you’d think you’d get more but..showers are coin operated at $1.00 for 4 mins. (I paid for 8 minutes and it cut off at 5 mins) and showers locked between 10pm-8am. Coin-operated laundry. Wi-fi (if you pay for it)and doesn’t reach all sites. Very large campsite, very close to all neighbors. Friday night people being loud until 11pm.
Campsites/Rv sites are level, forest area and birds are nice. Bathrooms clean but no toilet paper in most stalls in women’s room this morning. Some tent sites are far away from the bathrooms and provided with porta-potties. Camp store mostly dedicated to alcohol sales and candy. Staff was friendly and the campground is clean and safe.

We arrived at about 2pm and the guy at the entrance gave us the last spot. Since we did a trail first we didn't get to our spot until the evening, but it was already taken. We were both assigned to the same spot. We went to the campground host and explained that they had sold the site to two people. When asked what we should do now he said he could not do anything unfortunately the other was there first. No word of refund, no apology. He didn't even allow us to park the van at the picnic area. He advised us to drive 30 minutes further to another Park owned Campground and show them the Receipt. But since we did not want to drive 30 minutes at night and then negotiate with another inflexible campground host, we just went back to the occupied place where the nice gentleman allowed us to use the place together with him.
What a bad service, charge $ 35.- and then not even able to find a solution for their own mistakes.

Camped here in 526 for $55 a night full hook up with 30 amp service. Pricey but if yo want to see Elk this is the area. Tenting dry camping is $42, power and water $46

We paid $39 for a tent site with power and water, but we slept in our van. The RV sites $57. The place was really big and nearly full, but we were able to get a spot on Saturday around 5pm in August. Flush toilets and coin-operated showers are a short hike from the tent sites. $1.50 for 6-minute shower. An Elk herd is in the meadow.

Decent private CG. A bit pricy at $38, wood was $10. Camped in tent site, quiet and clean, only chemical toilets. Bathrooms and showers closed due to Covid. Watch for sap on ground, got stuck on a bunch of stuff and mucked up doggies feet. Overall I would stay here but they are price gouging a bit.

Good option with the state parks closed. Tent sites were adequate. Prominently a RV site. Saw some elk. Weird chiming noise started at 6:30 am and never stopped.

I stayed here last night sort of by accident but had a fine time. Facilities were clean and well-kept and everything worked. Shower was hot. Campground was quiet. Woke up to a herd of elk in the field across the way. The lady that checked me in around 6:00 was friendly enough.

There’s an 87 year old fella named Mac whose hobbies include fishing and sitting outside all day chatting with folks and telling stories. He also gets annoyed at folks doing dumb things around the elk, especially the dumb things the signs say not to do, and other folks that tie up traffic on their road but aren’t any kind of paying customer. But I only saw him go up and express this to one car.

All in all it was better than some of my recent state park stays.

$37.50 for a tent site. Night check in available after hours. WiFi code only given when the office is open and only works in certain areas near the office. Limited to 15 minutes and then you can purchase more for an additional fee.

Now $36 for a tent site ( room for a vehicle ), but I would avoid this place like the plague- surly staff, showers are locked from 9pm till 8am ( and did not open even at 8.00 while we were there ) and there are some sketchy people here. Like many such campgrounds it has become home to many permanent residents - the place has been badly neglected .
