Description

Nice place to stay for one night before or after entering the national park. A small gravel bumpy road that goes away from the parking place lead's 50m to the places, then you have enough space....
there are no facilities. It is near on the street, so you can hear the trucks at night.
I am unsure if it's ok for bigger RV because the entrance is very narrow....

sweet little camp spots. would suggest. there are lots of bugs though.

Report Check-In

Fantastic little spot just outside the park. It is maybe 300m earlier than the Google Maps directions indicate but it's the first pull over after the speed increases to 90 after leaving Japser NP. 3 separate spots so it could accommodate a few people. narrow entry but road was okay.

Report Check-In

Disappointed we missed this place with all the great reviews. Didn't find the entrance.

Report Check-In

Great spot after a soak and just outside of the park. Entrance is right at the end of the pullout on the highway. Cute little road so don’t miss it! Not too bumpy, and easily manageable in a 2wd 170 sprinter

Report Check-In

Great overnight stay. Dry camping and leave no trace. Sites right off the highway after a short, narrow strip of road. A bit bumpy but no issue pulling a 16ft. Airstream base camp. A few other people but quiet and felt private. Little trail up a cliff to great views. Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Very quiet night when trafic stops. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

Nice place, especially when you see the sheep! It gets pretty busy quickly, 5 parties there already. If you're lucky you meet really nice people at these community camp sites. Ok cell service. A little creek at the far end site for water. Outhouses a 1 min drive in both directions on the highway.

This spot was absolutely beautiful we ended up staying for 3 nights. Trailer is 22.5 ft with Truck. The narrow road was no problem but getting in from the road was a bit sketchy. Just a bump to get over but it was loose gravel and sand. So we just got in! Saw multiple Rams while inside they came right up to the truck. There tons of firepits everywhere. Once in we stayed to the left more options. There were fresh bear tracks but we never saw any. Lots of dead trees to cut down food for fire! Took lots of great pics!

Report Check-In

Still great in 2023. Snow has melted out. Road in is good for a car, handful of sites to spread out at.

Report Check-In

Perfect place, close to the NP border. Road only for vans and cars

Report Check-In

Just east of Jasper National Park. many spots, road in isn't too bad, thinking it may be a bit greasy when wet. quick stop with fire pits.

Report Check-In

Thank you for the tip. We arrived in the dark late at night. 3 cars ... even a trailer was already here. have found another place for us

vielen Dank für den tip.
wir sind spät abends im dunkeln angekommen. 3 Autos...sogar ein Trailer war schon hier. haben den noch ein Plätzchen für uns gefunden.

Report Check-In

Belle place pour passer la nuit. Plusieurs spots disponibles avec quelques trous à feu. Vraiment calme malgré la proximité de la route. Route de terre avec quelques trous mais facilement accessible. Ok aussi pour tente.
Vraiment proche de l'entrée du parc national.

Report Check-In

small wntry next to the small parking lot, looks like a trail, Max 150 m than enough space, it is ok for big rigs, small branches, places huge, nice sunset, privacy possible, firerings, noise from the hughway

Report Check-In

Lots of vehicle and camper at night, all gone as soon as we wake up.

Report Check-In

Nice spot, we had the place on the right, which is for only one car, so a bit more private. Extrem amounts of mosquitos! We opened the doors for maybe 30sec and had over 100mosquitos in the car (not kidding, we counted the dead mosquitos). Took 30 min to kill all.

Report Check-In

Multiple campsites. Few mosquitoes last night. Saw one dead deer far off the end of the park. Slept in car to avoid any bears at night. Overall, it’s a very decent place when it’s sunny. In addition, it’s by the entrance of the National Park.

Report Check-In

the tracks were puddled and, not knowing the depths of the ruts, didn't feel comfortable taking our minivan through. I would have felt more comfortable with high clearance. we stayed at the rest stop instead!

Report Check-In

please be careful! Especially Tent Campers. There is a Grizzly Mother with two Cubs around the camp. Had to break off our tent and left.

Report Check-In

absolutely incredible site! i can’t believe it’s free. 30 seconds outside the park!!

Report Check-In

Road is not too overgrown. Was able to get my fifth wheel camper in and found one of the last flats spots to park it. Might be a little tricky turning around in the morning. Better to do it in the light than at dusk. Pretty quite, not much road noise. In a tent there is probably more.

Report Check-In

as described! amazing spot just 5 min from the entrance of the national park :) lots of wildlife about

Report Check-In

Nice spot just outside of Jasper National Park. Bumpy gravel two track road to campsite which was busy when we pulled up at 6:30pm on a Saturday. Some highway noise as expected but we didn't mind.

Report Check-In

Good spot to stay just outside the national park boundary, quite busy on a Friday but people tend to just stop in for a night while visiting jasper. Short bumpy road in, got down easily in a minivan but might be difficult for very large rigs. Can be pretty bad for mosquitos.

Report Check-In

Great place with a lot of campsite and fire pit, near the highway, Jasper and a foodmart!

Report Check-In

Very nice spot. Calm very close of the park. Good for moore than one night

Report Check-In

leave no trash sign, beautiful site, small cliff to climb but looks like losts of loose rock

Report Check-In

nice convenient spot. only saw a couple other campers there. human-made fire pits available. do not forget bug spray.. there was a horrible amount of mosquitos, had to drive off in the morning without cooking breakfast cos they were eating us alive!

Report Check-In

Good spot, a little loud but lots of space and fire pits.

However, this has been the worst spot I have yet encountered for mosquitoes.
Very intense.

Report Check-In

Depending on which direction you are coming from: there is a pullout right after the Jasper check point or before if you are going towards Jasper ... and then follow the dirt road. Big spot. We camped there with at least 8 other campers ... Close to Jasper!

Report Check-In

Indeed a very nice place if you want to explore the national park. We spent 3 nights here because of the rain and it was very quiet. The old ford e150 with hightop made it pretty easy but the entrance is narrow so be careful.

Report Check-In

Super busy as none of the campgrounds were open yet. Plenty of spots to get in though. Would recommend getting in early for more privacy

Report Check-In

Subtle entrance but a fair amount of space for several cars and pretty tucked away and quiet from the highway. Plenty of friendly fellow travellers. Good spot!

Report Check-In

Dirt two track road right after you exit the park. Truck camper barely made it with the over growth. Vans no problem. Nice areas. There are three spots with fire rings
Good for on night- some traffic noise. But free!

Report Check-In

Nice place very close to the park, with a lot of other overlanders, fire pits... in August 2019 after a rainy week end we had a LOT OF MOSQUITOES, really they were like 500 at the spot where we pitched our tent so... brace yourselves

Report Check-In

A few other cars and vans here, fire pits (although fire ban in place), turning is immediately after exiting the park.

Report Check-In

As described below. Good spot for overnight bevor entering into jasper NP. The entrance road is wide enough for a motorhome... not sure if wider RV‘s will fit in the narrow road.

Report Check-In

I slept there last week, this time not alone but way enough place. You can here the trucks on the road

Report Check-In

Not bad. We stayed one night. About an other 8 cars where parked. Very close to the entrance of the park.

Report Check-In

Cool little spot. A few fire pits made. Lots of parking. Some locals had a camp set up there. Also ran into some travellers from France and Argentina! Don’t need 4x4 to get in if dry but not sure about the clearance. Trees are a little low .... not really ‘Big Rig’ friendly although the locals did have a trailer in the site!! No amenities. Nice sites and just outside of the National Park! Some firewood had been cut for use as well. Close to the road and was some construction but I still recommend!
