Latest Check-Ins

Beautiful secluded free camping right on the lake, with great mountain biking trails a short ride from camp. Signs say no camping but locals say it’s not enforced.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night in a camper van and had no problems. We were the only ones there. Getting to it at this time of year was no problem- dirt road, but easy to navigate and did not need 4x4. It’s @2miles past the shoals trailhead.
Has trash containers and a pit toilet.

Nice little campground. Only about 4 spots. Little boat ramp. There is plenty of Verizon cell service. We chose to keep going past the campground and stayed along the road. Amazing views of the lake and mountains.

Nice small campground. Sites are small and close together, but sign posted on entrance tree says 14 day limit is allowed for any use, which should include camping. Good cell service.

Report Check-In

Sign clearly says No camping and no overnight parking. Day use only.

Stayed here for one night with our van. Although there is a sign that says „no camping“. But no one bothered us. We we came in late (around 8 pm), no one else was there. Only one truck passed along. Very quiet place, with a beautiful view of the lake an the mountains. „Hidden gem“ describes this place perfectly. We would have loved to take a dip in the lake, but it is covered in alges.

Such a hidden gem! Peaceful, quiet and secluded, park right on the lake! I would definitely stay here again. Says 2 miles in, feels like 20. The road is so bumpy I had to stay under 10 mph. At the end sign does say no camping but there is a 5th wheel that looks like they may love here? I parked at the end near the dock by a fire pit. several boats launched and a few locals went further up the road, the road goes further, I walked it but would not drive it with a big vehicle. my bus is 24' and there was 1 turn around I may have been able to maneuver.

Beautiful spot. So quiet. One long term camper there with barking dogs. We only have front wheel drive and needed to chain up to get out. Thought others might like to know about the potential for snow and ice this time of year.

Report Check-In

Boat ramp and dock with several simple campsites. View of lake somewhat obscured by brush along lake shore. Gravel road from 39 is in decent condition, but occasional bad sections of washboard. Water pump broken so no drinking water.

State here for a night. They have a few Rv spots and it’s free! Toilets weren’t the cleanest but they had trash cans! Lots of bugs during the day so if you have screens you should be fine! The road isn’t too bad! Just a long dirt road! Our 34ft Skoolie fit👍

Report Check-In

Water pump is broken. Amazing views though. Road was fine for us, although it’s been recently graded. Only five official spots, but plenty of overflow parking. Put toilets clean and accessible. Great Verizon LTE signal. Would stay again.
