Beautiful view on the Andes and a nice spot for dawn and sunrise. 5 minutes away from the border to Argentina. We stayed a night: quiet, no one around, very pleasant.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There are wide pullouts and flat parking areas at nearly every curve. Plenty of places to camp. BUT… get out of the way of the big trucks, who use these to pull off and cool their brakes. You don’t want to be in the way of a semi truck with hot brakes.
