Description

We slept here one night with our rv, we parked in one of the sides of the square. We asked the police and they said it is safe as on the other side there is the major house and police and cameras 24/7, so we felt safe. It is not the most silent place but for one night is fine, at night is quiet would say from 23 to 6. Near Embarcadero to take the tour to Cañón del sumidero. In business hours there's public toilets around for 5 pesos and on the other side of the zocalo there is a local Market to buy food.

Stayed at the opposite corner, away from the main road, in front of BBVA, but by the square. It was Saturday, so it was busy until about 11PM, and some young folks came about 2AM and played some loud music for a while. Other Han hat. Totally fine.
You can find shower as well to rent by the city market. There’s a sign right on front of it.

Parked at this square to sleep for one night. It was a national holiday that involved a relay pilgrimage, so there were a lot of people celebrating here and camping through the night in tents or on blankets in the square. Lots of police doing rounds.

We felt totally safe with so many people around. It was loud but put in earplugs and it was ok.

In the evening there are washrooms you can pay $5 pesos to use (not very clean) but the washrooms were not open in the morning. We had to drive to a Pemex to find a washroom.

We lucked out and ended up parking beside an electrical outlet by a lamppost so we’re able to plug in for the night.
