Parking at the exit of the city. Sleeping on site is accepted, but no tent or engine running on the site. We slept one night. The terrain was very well maintained. The people of the village are used to campers at this place. We were lucky there was a festival in the village with fireworks in the evening. We had dinner and lunch there. Made like us and leave no trace of your passage.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The bridge is cool to see, and the area is nice, but it gets very loud very early, and is really bright from the parking lot / street / house lights. Much nicer spots for sleeping in the area unless you’re in a pinch!
Report Check-InWe asked the attendant at the town's kiosk and she confirmed we could stay one night at the gravel parking lot.
Beware of the seagulls; they have deadly accurate aim!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot down by the river under the covered bridge. Washrooms closed at night and slightly loud with traffic but no one bothered us all night!
Report Check-InLovely place, I parked beside a picnic table almost under the bridge, food store across the street. MO one bothered me at all, I was alone all night!
Report Check-InNice spot for cars only. There is no sign that tents are forbidden. Touristy area 'till late evening and early morning because of worlds longest covered bridge. Restrooms available during day, at night not sure. Cover your windows because several street lights.
Report Check-InTrès calme malgré que ce soit sur le bord de la route. Le matin nous avons vue un employé de la municipalité et nous nous sommes salués.
Report Check-InOpen parking lot, free overnight parking with a great view and tons of space. Quiet town, worlds longest covered bridge. Across from Day and Ross right beside the bridge and a little snack shop. Located in Hartland NB
Report Check-InVery quiet, peaceful beside the river. Had two other RV’s join us.
Report Check-InBelle petite place ville tranquille! Pont couvert le plus long du Canada ! Feux d’artifices pour clore la soirée au village! Spot parfait pour véhicule autonome. Tim hortons a 1 minute !
Report Check-InNice sized lot close to downtown. It's not very far off the road so there is some road noise but dies off quickly after dark.
Report Check-InSecond time I sleep here. Perfect for one night. A bit noisy because very close to the road and out of the village. No service on site.
Report Check-Insmall gravel lot, backed by greenspace, in veiw of the covered bridge. A quiet night. Convenient.
Report Check-InNice spot, even gravel parking lot, especially great if you're driving a vehicle that can't go on soft roads. With all the rain and the flooding situation we couldn't find anything else suitable for our van in this area. Right by the river, quiet, bridge is not too noisy, little market and deli nearby. Couldn't see any signs prohibiting tenting (grassarea looked perfect for a twnt), just no engine running.
Report Check-InWe found that spot not very attractive and moved on. It is a small spot right next to the street but has some green behind it. It is definitely ok for a night if you arrive late but it was early so we kept driving.
