The length of this beach area is now posted no parking and no camping. Access to the beach has been blocked with rocks. A large parking area prior to the turn onto beach are had 7 campers in it. The problem is it also had about 10 cars with loud music, loud exhaust doing donuts and making as much noise as possible until about 11pm. It was not a peaceful night.

lots of places to park along this road by the beach side. It opens up more when you go all the way to the end of the road. Beautiful view of the beach and the cape. It's probably always windy here even on a day that you don't feel any wind in town, but it's slightly windy at the beach. There's a golf court about 1km down from this spot, and there's a public washroom there. Overall, Beautiful spot, very quiet at night, and very dark, I had a good night sleep here since the wind wasn't major and it didn't shake my van too much. A tip, park along with the flow of the wind, less shaking that way.

The beach all the way down at the fishing wharf is pretty quiet. Few cars come down to see the sunset. Parking area is fairly level. Perfect for a class B camper. No services. We saw two individuals dedicated to clean the beach.

A very interesting town to stop in. This area is by the ocean, on the end of an old runway from a WWII Air Force Base.
Can get pretty windy, so I'd more recommend for rigs with stabilizers. Also would not recommend parking parallel to the water because of the wind too. Back towards it.
Any size rig will fit.
There are lots of Newfoundlanders who boondock here all summer, and the ones I met were super friendly.

Great little place to stop. Rocky beach you can drive and park overlooking the ocean. The T-Mobile cell is the best I’ve found at any camping site in Newfoundland. The town is large enough to have everything you need, but still has that small town feel.

ok pour passer la nuit . plein de roulottes local mais beaucoup de place

Approximately 20 minutes from the highway. Needed to turn off for gas and happy we did. Long stretch of flat rocky beach oceanside. Lots of space for many vehicles spread out. Many had camp fires .

Report Check-In

The rocky beach has wonderful views out over the Gulf of St Lawrence. However, the beach is littered with discarded shotgun shells and other small plastic debris. We stayed there for an evening at the beginning of July, 2021 and again towards the end of July. Whereas the first visit was pleasant, the second was a turn-off. The locals have staked out their claims and behave rudely to anyone encroaching. IMO, the place is too far off the Trans Canada Highway, the beach just a bit too littered, and the locals too unfriendly to make this place worth the effort.

Excellent campsite, from what the others tell us you can stay as long as you want to. Incredible view, campfire rings all along the beach. Very rocky, close to the road, right across from the airport.

Plenty of pull outs on the side of Massachusetts Dr to park up for the night. There are many RV’s/vans here. It is right on the road though so you can hear cars passing, but it is not that busy at night. You can also hear the waves gently crashing on the beach so it kind of drowns out the car noise.

at the side of the shore, a very long stretch of gravel where multiple RV's can park.

Report Check-In

On Massachusetts street, there is a large concrete pad may be an old airplane strip. The ground is level and located between the ocean and the Stephenville Airport. Note the airport is closed at night.
